WoW Upgrades - The item upgrade level upgrade; yogicentral.science, Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.

The upgraded gear is usually more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as valuable for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any kind of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade the item will be consumed and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.

The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the item upgrader kit level, but they will always be cheaper than buying new gear. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest piece to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from a different player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to level up weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item and current item level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than gloves or bracers for instance. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.

item upgrading upgraders can be found in many places including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon and the possibility of getting a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been altered a bit, with several new features added. Once a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This applies even if the items come from an entirely different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut also, but is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

Players have a number of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

First, you should know that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type or gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses or dungeons for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

The use of these currencies isn't too complicated, but the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests only have one usage, so it's important to use them wisely. It is best to put your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount if all slots are full of high-quality gear.
