Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever thought of buy a robot vacuum now is the time. CNET's top-rated models will be on sale for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot with smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba J7+, IRobot's smartest bagless robot vacuum (pcr-mag.ru) to date, is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant innovation is a camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the dreaded pet waste most other robots can't avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of any object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo j7+ is also the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease and leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app that allows you to schedule cleaning times and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't clean areas you don't want it to. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.
Its design is an improvement over the rest, with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base automatic hoover robot Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. Its counter-rotating rubber brush rolls kept the debris in one location instead of scattering it across the floor. It even could take small gravel and sand that other robots can't. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
While it's not quite as smart as the Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs, the j7+ is still an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's difficult to know whether the update actually working until you see it in the action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean your floors A hybrid is the best value robot vacuum option. This type of robot typically includes a built-in water tank that allows them to vacuum and mop your house at the same time. They also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.
Roborock produces several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't fail to impress. It's their cheapest auto-empty model. While it lacks some of the features that are found on more expensive models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's a great option if you're willing to sacrifice a little to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally soft when it comes to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it a great choice for homes that have many furniture pieces. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is excellent and has very few missed corners and along walls.
Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device itself or via the Roborock app. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, design virtual barriers and no-go areas or modify your home map or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+, it ships with a new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. It requires a screwdriver for install, but once installed, the process of emptying the bin is relatively simple. It also features an impressive LCD display that is great to have when creating schedules or changing settings. This feature isn't essential for the majority of people, however it can help you effectively keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is one of the top in the market however, it's costly.
The base station is attractive and is hidden when it's not in use, and the dimensions are quite small. The station's main selling point is that it can automate many tasks, chores and functions that other robots would leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and helps keep your robot charged and clean smart robot.
Its vacuuming capabilities are impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tried that does an excellent job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it can get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It can't navigate stairs as well as competitors, either and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to create a dedicated cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a cheap robot vacuum vacuum that does everything.
If you're looking to cut costs or aren't concerned about the limitations of the robot, there are many other options on the market. Many eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for example is a bit more expensive, but offers many more features, like stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors, low-pile carpets as well as high-pile ones.
4. Eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, a Anker company has a proven track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors as well as mopping, carpets and other surfaces at an affordable price point. It's simple to set up, just connect one of the side brush, turn it on and connect the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock will need to be placed close to an outlet that has plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a tiny device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it will be placed under most couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is more subtle when compared to rival models. It features a sleek black finish and three physical buttons for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs the area in a spiral fashion over two minutes), Recharge and Spot Cleaner. It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.
The way the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of an integrated map to draw a picture of the immovable objects in its path. It can remember the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. It then returns to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning the area it left.
The elegant G30 has its flaws, though. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has the same battery life and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It has a bigger dust bin that doesn't require as much emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and it has less trouble with bulky material such as cereal.
