Throne and Liberty Gear Upgrades
The upgrade of gear can increase its base stats and sometimes boosts its extras. The value of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the number of random augmentations applied.
The racial Shield elite Razortail for instance, is usually upgraded to improve its lightning absorption function in PvP and/or provide additional defenses to missile-based designs in the PvM. This makes it more marketable over the original version that is not upgraded.
Reroll Tokens
Reroll tokens allow you to reroll a purchased item, such as an armor, weapon, or rings. The item is replaced with an identical item, but with different benefits. Reroll tokens can be an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original item upgrader's level and any wasted resources will not be refunded.
The survivors can acquire reroll tokens through several means, including from the Mistery Box or as rare drops from skulled creatures. They can be found in chests and crates or bought at the local store for 150k each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter the attribute of an item, for example increasing its damage.
Players can reroll their equipment using three categories: physical power, magic power, and health. Physical power upgrades boost the damage caused by weapons and melee attacks while spell power improves mage attacks and rings. Health upgrades provide the player with an additional level of health.
Three types of rerolls tokens are available in three categories: upgrade rare and legendary. Each upgrade elevates the item to a better quality. To make them, you need a higher level token for rerolling. Upgrades that are enhanced require a standard item, while rare upgrades require a special or legendary item and legendary upgrades require three legendary items.
Unlike other special tokens and markers that are placed on Action spaces the reroll marker stays on the spot until the next Success result is rerolled. This is a way to prevent the waste of upgrades.
Blueprints are envelopes which appear at the beginning of each Preparation phase. They are opened using Interact by grabbing on to them. When they are opened, they display an explanation and icon for the appliance or ingredient. Blueprints can be exchanged to purchase a new Appliance or Ingredient in the restaurant's store for a small amount of coins.
During the course of an event, blueprints may be moved between the Staple Pool and the Non-staple pool based on chosen Franchise Cards. This changes the kind of blueprints that a restaurant's shop has available for rerolls and which are available in the Non-droppable Pool.
Growthstones
Weapons, armor, and accessories can be upgraded in Throne and Liberty using Growth Stones. These stones are special stones that boost the level of an item by increasing its stats or characteristics. These items can be found by visiting Equipment Enchanting NPCs in the main towns. They can also purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants for a cost. These stones are also available to players who complete daily contracts.
To upgrade gear, the player must first locate the item and then click the "level up button". The screen will show a summary of the item upgrade's levels and what it will become when it is upgraded. It will also show the amount of Growth Stones needed to accomplish this. The number of Growth Stones required to upgrade a piece of gear will depend on its rarity. Rare (blue), rarer weapons will require more than one Growth Stone, while uncommon armor only requires a single Growth Stone.
After deciding on what to upgrade, players must select the number of green Growth Stones they wish to use and pay the appropriate cost. Once the player has satisfied the requirements, he can hit the upgrade button and apply the Growth Stones. This will raise the item's level by a certain percentage. Depending on the item's rarity the upgrade process can be as quick as a few seconds to minutes.
The upgrade process is also risk-free and doesn't affect the durability of the item. This makes the system an excellent way for players to get an advantage in combat without putting a strain on their accounts. Clicking on the "transfer tab" players can transfer the experience and progression of an upgraded piece of gear onto an entirely new piece of equipment.
For new players, it can be difficult to obtain Growth Stones. There are a variety of methods to get these stones. You can finish contracts and purchase them from Contract Coin Merchants, defeat Abyssal Contracts, obtain them from the Equipment Stone Seal Book or get them from reward chests during the Ancient Arena Season. In addition, players can break down higher-level Growth Stones to create multiple lower-level ones.
Leveling
Leveling is a feature that lets you increase the power of weapons and armor. You can also upgrade trinkets as well as helms. The Upgrade Station allows you to combine an item with upgrade item materials, and then pay a fee in Happy Tickets or Happy Stars. The process will consume upgrade materials and grant the item an increased level, which gives the item an additional boost in that particular area. The process will continue until the item reaches its maximum level.
Items with upgraded base stats will display an icon of blue in their slot. In contrast to enchantments, upgrade components cannot be stacked with each other, but can only be added to a single item at a time. Each upgrade component also requires a certain number of items as well as a certain equipment level.
The Upgrade Station features two slots: the left is where players can put in an Best item upgrade to be upgraded, while the right side shows a glimpse of what the equipment will appear like when it reaches its next level. When a player has enough materials, pressing the yellow arrow will initiate the upgrade process.
A piece of equipment can be upgraded up to five times. Every time the item is upgraded, its stats will increase by a small percentage. The maximum level for an item is 19.
When an item reaches its highest level, upgrades will no longer be available for it. Also, when an item reaches the level of a specific upgrade track (e.g. Upgrades for the Veteran or Explorer track will be discounted.
Upgrade components are a type of equipment that is able to be inserted into armors, weapons trinkets, gathering tools and other trinkets in order to provide an additional effect or benefit while the equipment is being used. They can be bought from vendors, looted, or obtained through questing. They can also be traded between players. Upgrade components can be replaced with new ones, but doing so will destroy the previous upgrade, with the exception of for glyphs that can be replaced and removed at any time.
Requirements
Upgrades to items allow players to boost certain stats of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements for upgrading an item will differ depending on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium as well as the number of Upgrade tokens.
Item upgrade components can be slotted into equipment set pieces and weapons for additional effects or to increase the item level. These upgrades can be obtained from a variety of sources, such as crafting, buying at the Trading Post, karma vendors or looting from raids and bosses. Once an upgrade component is added to an object it isn't able to be removed or replaced. However the glyphs can be swapped freely.
Upgrades to an item can increase its Mark Level and/or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can boost the item's statistics.
The upgrade to the helm "Foundation of the Sun", for instance, increases the base defense and gives an additional 20% chance to block. Additionally the dps enhancement "Wildfire" increases weapon damage.
Some items benefit from upgrading less because of their improved stats, but more because it allows players to get the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For instance, a perfectly rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50x the non-upp'd version.
When you choose an upgrade component that you want to put into an item the game will display an open window that displays the necessary requirements. This includes the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) the level of the item, the Upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade.
Once you've satisfied the requirements for an upgrade, the game will place the item in your inventory and the progress bar will be updated to show how close to completing it. You can also verify the status of an upgrade by visiting any item upgrader NPC.
