The Item Upgrader in World of Warcraft
The War Within introduced two gear upgrade currencies, Valorstones and Harbinger Crests. These currencies can be exchanged at the NPCs who upgrade items (why not try here), Cuzolth and Vaskarn.
Each item can be upgraded to its maximum level for a given slot once. Upgrades to that slot will be cheaper afterward. The pity system that was introduced in The War Within, also reduces the extreme variance in upgrades.
Upgrades
Upgrades are elements that boost performance or add new features. They can be bought or earned through many ways, such as in-game events and cash shop items.
In contrast to enchantments, which can be incorporated into any item, upgrades are attached to specific items and can only be applied to the items. Therefore, an upgrade can only be applied to a weapon when it already has been equipped by players. However, certain items can be upgraded many times, bringing greater benefit to the wearer of the item.
Upgrades are a relatively new mechanic introduced in patch 4.1.0. The upgrade system lets players fuse additional improvements to equipment to boost its power, ranging from simple boosts in strength to massive damage and defense boosts. The upgrades are split into tracks, and each has a limit on the amount of upgrade item that can be completed. The limits are in place to stop players from flooding low keystone dungeons for equipment and then upgrading it up to.
Upgradable gear includes armor, weapons and consumables. The majority of gear is upgraded as it drops but some items (such as Ornn's gear, or the baby Dracolich pet) can't be upgraded. Gear can be upgraded to higher levels by buying a recipe from an upgrade vendor, then combining it with an item in the correct upgrade slot. The icon of the item or searching for it in the shop will display how many upgrades that piece of equipment has.
There are two main disadvantages to the upgrade system. The second is that it can be difficult to determine what items are upgradeable as the upgrade vendors don't always display all of them. In addition, upgrade textures are rendered above the item upgrading model, which can obscure enchantment glint and other details.
The other drawback is that upgrades can be costly. Each step in a gear's degree of upgrade will cost a certain amount of Valorstones or crests based on the slot and the item level. Weapons generally require more crests and Valorstones to upgrade than bracers or gloves for instance. Cash shop items can reduce the cost.
Recycle
In the wake of an increasing awareness of how single-use products and wasteful habits can contribute to environmental degradation, many people are changing their shopping habits. Some are buying high-quality products that last longer or recycling their old gadgets to make a way around. Some people prioritize recycled products and search for the highest recycled content when purchasing. This trend should help reduce the amount resources required to create and extract new materials, and create a more sustainable environment.
Recycling is an integral element of this process and it is now more accessible to consumers. Many items, such as furniture and paper, contain recycled materials. This means they're made from reused or discarded material and it's simple to buy recycled products online or at the store. These products are not only more sustainable, but they're also cheaper than their counterparts.
When an item is leveled it will be rewarded with additional bonuses alongside its increased main stat. These bonuses vary depending on the item's tier, and may come in different forms. The ones who have higher tiers will receive more bonuses than those who have lower tiers.
More companies are committed to producing greener products as the world economy shifts away from extraction of resources and towards reusing and recyclating. A lot of them are focused on recycling materials and offering incentives to customers who recycle their products. As the demand for sustainable products rises it is likely that we will see more recycled products in stores and on the shelves.
Rerolls
In Genshin Impact - or any gacha game in general Rerolling is an essential tool. Rerolling lets players try again with an item or character they want or want to play, whether because it's attractive or they believe it's a good fit on their team.
Rerolls allow players to reroll the items that are available for the current wave in exchange for a small amount of materials. Prices of these weapons rise as the number of rerolls grows but some items may never be available (for instance, characters that only use ranged weaponry will not be able to access a melee item).
When an item is upgraded it moves into the Staple Pool and gains extra bonuses. These bonuses are based on type of item upgrades that it is - for example, an upgrade that boosts a weapon's main stat will also boost its additional stats. If the item is rerolled, then the extras will change.
If a player has stamina for a reroll, they can click on an icon with arrows that are circling to swap their item to a different. The new item has the same level, but different bonuses based on whether it was a gun, book, sword or watch.
Rerolling does not reset an item's bonus levels. However the player may need to meet the minimum requirements for its special ability. This can make it challenging to find an item of high-level that offers the bonus they desire but it also allows players to explore a different alternative in the future, without having to invest more resources.
Leveling up an item doesn't just improve its extra bonuses, it can also give the item a boost in its tier and, consequently, it will be guaranteed to gain a certain amount of bonus stats if upgraded in the future. This is one of the reasons why it's essential to upgrade your gear as much as you can, as when you reach a level where getting any more upgrades won't make a significant difference, it's not worth it.
Sets
A set is a group of objects which share a common characteristic. They are often used in the field of mathematics, and are represented using an equivalence notation such as . Sets have a number of significant properties, like the associative property and the commutative property. These properties are essential in understanding how sets function and can be used in real-world applications.
In the game it is possible to upgrade items by sets of items to gain additional bonuses. For example an armor set pieces can give an extra boost to the armor's defense, while a weapon can give an additional damage base. These additional stats are applied after the base stat of the item, but before the flats and percentages. These additional stats could be a good method to increase the value of an item.
When an item is upgraded, it will replace the base stat with the upgraded one. For example, an item that had 20 base damage now has 40 base damage. The base armor and upgrade requirements will remain. This is an excellent method to purchase a premium item for a reasonable price.
The process of upgrading unusual items can be profitable, especially when the item comes with an interesting mod. A rare belt with +5 IAS for instance can have a huge impact on a build's strength particularly in the early stages of hell. It's an excellent way to increase the value of an item by incorporating an ideal or high-roll.
Item Upgraders differ for set, unique and rare items. Typically, the item will be upgraded to a new type of base after it has been upgraded to level 10. For instance, an upgrade of an item that is unique and has an extremely high defense roll will result in an armor item upgrades of elite quality that has the same base type. This is not a guaranteed result, and there are occasions when an upgrade won't alter the basic type of item.
It is recommended that players prioritize upgrading their BiS (Best in Slot) items first, then non-BiS items. This will ensure that players have an excellent foundation to build on when leveling up, and they can concentrate on boosting their tiers and getting additional stats.
