Upgrade components
Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armors, trinkets and gathering tools. They provide an extra benefit or effect when the equipment is in use. They can be purchased from vendors or players looted, or gotten as rewards, or made using crafting materials. In addition to providing bonus attributes, upgrade items can also be cosmetically beneficial.
Upgrade components can include inscriptions, enhancements and infusions. They aren't generally accessible to the general public and are only available on equipment that is ascended, or certain non-ascended weaponry from the Factions Campaign. Infusions, inscriptions, and enrichments can be extracted from equipment with an Infusion Extraction Device, or salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.
In contrast to other upgrade items Phoenix Boxes, unlike other upgrade items, can be traded even while still attached to the item that they are upgrading. They are able to be used again after they are salvaged. These upgrade items can be used to boost the quality of armor and weapons without spending Dilithium. They can increase the chance that the item will receive a high-quality upgrade.
Upgrade components can be added to an item but the old one is destroyed (except for legendaries and ascended equipment). Upgrade components can only be added to upgraded items that have an identification level of zero or greater. When you upgrade an Item upgrader mod that is already equipped with a prefix or suffix upgrade will display the name of the upgraded item as it appears in the game (for instance, adding a Radiant Insignia to Canthan Armor will cause it to be referred to as Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). A player can only own up to three upgrade items at one time.
Glyphs
Glyphs are a fantastic addition to any item. They provide unique advantages and boosts. Some Glyphs increase the number of affixes an item upgrading has, thereby increasing its power. These glyphs are available through dungeons, and some can even drop in certain World Tier 3 areas. It is important to keep in mind that glyphs can't be used on a character who has not been able to create an area of root dungeons with the same depth.
To use a Glyph you must first create it with components and then connect them using anchors. Then, the component will automatically align itself to other components and paths within the same layer. If you do not want to create the glyph using components, you can employ a combination of paths and anchors. Then, drag the element near an element highlighted to snap it into place.
Certain glyphs require certain requirements to be met, such as 25 Dexterity in a specific area on the Paragon Board. Some glyphs require a specific number of Primary Stat Nodes to be activated, which may be a bit difficult to achieve. Certain glyphs have a radius that increases with each level.
Glyphs can be found on many different items, and can be added to any weapon, except for weapons belonging to specific classes. Some of these glyphs have additional conditions, such as a certain amount of damage to Dexterity or attack damage in a particular area of the Paragon board.
The Defend Glyph boosts the chance of preventing enemy attacks by 5percent. It also has the chance of 15% to render the Hero vulnerable for two turns.
There are also a few glyphs that can be applied to tools with limited-use capabilities like the Black Lion Chest or Trading Post. These glyphs contribute to the Combat Mechanic Achievement.
The most popular glyphs are the attack glyphs which increase the ATK substats of Artifacts by a flat value. They are especially beneficial for classes that are ranged such as Warriors and Rogues. Other glyphs include the Exploit Glyph, which makes enemies that hit the Hero vulnerable to being damaged.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens are special tokens that can be used to reroll one of the results that are rolled when performing an Action. After the reroll is completed the tokens are then discarded. Reroll tokens are available in a variety of ways, including raids and dungeons, or through participation in skirmishes. They can also be purchased in the shops or from other players. They are particularly useful in dungeons or trials because they allow players to reroll rewards at the bottom of the chest.
For items that are at level 1 there are recycling points. When recycle an Best item upgrader, it will add a certain number of points to the upgrade gauge. This value scales depending on the item's value and rarity. Additionally, the upgraded item won't retain its level when rerolled, and the cost for recycling an upgraded item rises with its level.
It is also possible to use reroll tokens in order to roll an item. However it won't bring back the item's original stats or levels. This is useful for players who want to reroll an item or piece of equipment they don't love but want to keep in their collection.
There are three types of upgrade tokens available in the game: reroll, random and upgrade. Each type comes with a variety of subtypes. Reroll tokens for instance are available in three types: rare, legendary and enhanced. Each requires a product of the appropriate level to create the new item level upgrade with the same quality.
To make use of reroll tokens right-click on the Satanic or Angelic item in inventory and select "Reroll Token". Select a type of token. The tokens available include item upgrader Weapon, Misc, 1hgun, 2hgun and Focus. The item upgrader kit token can be used to create an Item in any quality. Making use of a Weapon or Misc token will result in a new weapon of the same faction.
There is also a possibility that the item could be upgraded into a new item that has an increased level and the same additional stats. This will occur when the item is placed in the Pool that is not droppable or was transferred to it as part of a Franchise Card.
