Guild Wars 2 Item Upgrade
The stats of an item are enhanced by upgrading it, which is also known as "upping". Each upgrade increment provides an increase in the linearity of a given stat.
Players can recycle six items at once to gain a gauge for the upgraded component of each Best item upgrader. The cost of recycling an item increases with its rarity and level.
Upgrade components
A level upgrade in Guild Wars 2 is a procedure that can improve the effectiveness of your weapon and armor. This can be accomplished through a variety of methods such as using upgrade components or increasing an item's rarity or mark level. In addition to this, many items can be reforged, which could boost their stats even more.
You can find upgradeable items throughout the game. They are available all over all over the world and are rewards for missions. Players can also craft them. Upgrade components are the main method to upgrade equipment. These are items that slot into equipment. Most equipment comes with upgrade slots, and most require a certain upgrade level. Some upgrade components provide specific bonuses, while others offer an overall bonus.
There are a variety of upgrade components available in the game, including universal upgrades, inscriptions and jewels. Universal upgrades, like gemstones and enchantments can be used in any equipment type and provide smaller bonuses than those that are equipment type specific to the type of equipment. Glyphs can be placed in gathering tools and provide numerous bonuses, from increasing the speed of an item's gathering to providing extra crafting materials.
Select the item in your inventory, then open the Upgrade window. The preview will appear on the right-hand side of the screen. It will display the expected stats following the upgrade. If you do not have enough of either the two, the Upgrade button will say Blocked.
The upper-right side of the screen shows the number of upgrade components needed for an item upgrader mod. The price of an upgrade increases depending on the rarity and level of the item. However you can lower the cost of upgrades by purchasing them from a merchant or trading them with other players.
The majority of weapons can be upgraded by adding a prefix, such as a rune or an insignia. Other weapons can be upgraded by adding a suffix. These upgrades add an adjective to the name of the item for example "Radiant" or "Minor Vigor".
Glyphs
Glyphs are a powerful tool for communicating visual information. They animate in order to grab the attention of the viewer and spark curiosity. The animation of glyphs mimics the body language and makes them more effective in communicating an inter-linguistic message. Glyphs can also trigger a feeling of familiarity in the brain, which increases retention of the message.
Each glyph can increase the value of a stat by certain amount. This is shown on the item's page when you open it in the Glyph Storage. This range is the maximum value that a glyph can enhance a stat by and not the amount it actually increases it by. The value of the glyph will depend on the tier and quality of the product you are in awe of.
Most upgrade components inserted into items cannot be replaced or salvaged without dismantling the equipment in question, unless it is legendary equipment and upgrades. However, if you have an unusable rune or glyph that hasn't yet been applied to your equipment, you can transfer it to a different piece equipment by using the upgrade Glyphs context menu within the Glyphs panel. This will create a Glyph Set that includes the chosen glyph.
You can remove the glyph using a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or an Ascended Salvage tool. The item on which the glyph is installed will be destroyed, however the upgraded item can be retrieved by removing the glyph fragments.
When you remove an item after adding a glyph, the shards from the glyph will disappear. You can also put an inscription on your equipment to increase its value. Deferred Damage, for example, can store damage and then be dealt out slowly to the wearer rather than all at one time. This is helpful for players who are taking a lot of damage from enemies but don't want to be overwhelmed.
Reroll tokens
Reroll tokens can be used to alter the affixes that are placed on weapons and equipment. They can be obtained from various sources, such as mystery boxes, rare drops from skulled monsters or by killing bosses. Every reroll grants the player a random affix that is usually better than what they had before. Reroll tokens are also a great option to reroll stats on weapons that can be upgraded for better damage or other perks.
Rerolled items are not listed in the menu of upgrade options, but they can still be upgraded. If you click the "upgrade button", you can recycle these recycled items. This will alter the design of the item's window, and allow up to six items to be selected to recycle. The gauge of level is increased by recycling an item. The amount is determined by the rarity of the item as well as its level. Thus, items with higher levels are more valuable to recycle than lower-leveled ones.
Players can also use Reroll Tokens and Star Remnants to reroll weapons to upgrade units. Rerolls will roll a % chance of a weapon's traits. If it rolls higher, then the weapon is upgraded. If it is lower the weapon remains as is. Weapons can be upgraded up to three times.
Rerolls are a great option for upgrading an item, however, players should be aware that it can lower the overall ilvl of the weapon based on the number of rerolls used to increase it to the final level. This effect is most evident on Diadems and Rings, since they have no other options to raise the ilvl.
Some players have complained that the reroll system is expensive. It's more fair to allow people to pay for it with cash or food items, which allows them to make changes to their builds without having to spend excessive amounts of time. However, paid rerolls are not something the developers want to incorporate at this point in the game's development. They plan to add an ingredient that allows players to alter their race in the near future.
Leveling
There are several ways to upgrade an item. The first is to increase the upgrade amount which boosts the value of an upgrade for a given stat. The second is to boost the effect of upgrading which increases the damage or heal of a specific stat. In addition there is the possibility to upgrade the base item to a more powerful upgrade type. Once this is done, the new item will keep its iLevel however it will have the upgrade item effects of the upgraded type of item.
When you upgrade items (try this) it is essential to keep in mind that upgrades are random. In most cases a better roll is based on the glyphs. However there are instances when a greater or special roll can occur. The type of the item will determine the iLevel. If you upgrade a rare or exclusive item to a unique kind of item, it has a chance of receiving an upper level.
Upgrading items can be costly, particularly when you're upgrading a piece of equipment from a standard to legendary track. The cost of upgrading an item will be contingent on its base iLevel as well as the amount of upgrade levels. Certain upgrade tracks require crests to reach the next level.
If you're fortunate the upgraded item could get to the top of its upgrade track, and thus unlock an additional benefit. This will give you a substantial boost in the upgrade value of the item. The bonus effect is different with each upgrade level. In general, the effect of upgrading is increased by +3.
Depending on the item's level of base and upgrade process, the iLevel for the upgraded item will change too. For example an item that has been upgraded from a rare or unique item to an outstanding one will have the chance to gain the enhanced defense of the new base item.
