GreenPower has joined forces with Perrone Robotics to up-fit the EV Star with their TONY (To Navigate You) autonomous vehicle system. This will allow fleets to seamlessly transition to autonomous vehicles. The AV Star can also be wirelessly charging up to 75 kW.
We had the chance to test drive the EV9 for several hours on a local freeway, and found it to be a breeze to drive and comfortable for long distances. The ride is smooth over bumps and ruts, and the EV9 does an excellent job of suppressing the sound of traffic and wind on the highway. The acceleration of the vehicle is astonishingly quick, and it has adjustable regenerative brakes that allow "one-pedal driving" simply by lifting off the accelerator.
