WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade item increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for the latter because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be applied to enchantments.

The upgrader can be found in all major cities and is accessible at any time to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that are used to improve the quality of weapons, tools, armor, and accessories. They can be bought by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for different currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which displays an item's preview at the next upgrade level if the player has sufficient materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item upgrader mod level. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain amount it can be re-downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

Upgraders for items can be found in many places including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and the chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level upgrade [Douerdun.com] level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items are from another set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced as well, but is only available after certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to gear of a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests depending on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can obtain crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, dungeons or raids of any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and routes.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system does introduce some modifications to the upgrade process. For example, once an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible level for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also essential to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. It's Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
