Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of cleaning dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills, staining) in one go without the need to change devices. They also can save space when compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.

A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It has a lot to offer at a modest price and is among the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you up and running in no time with an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that mops up a storm and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner has four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app which lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to do for each room.

You could, for instance request the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb and the robot cleaner is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only issue it has is that it tends to crash into walls and objects at full speed. However, an instant glance at the history of cleaning within the app will show you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's avoided.

A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows you when maintenance jobs are required, such as emptying the debris tray and rinsing its dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank by using a 600ml bottle filled with the eufy's solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time and the mop is capable of operating for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum capable of running for 136 minutes in normal mode before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is simple to use and intuitive, allowing you to view every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's flagship robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year it comes with two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly improves its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to remove small hairs and other particles that other robotic cleaners could miss.

As with the other two Roborock models I've tried the S8 Pro Ultra has a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology which can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and incorporates two cameras that can recognize objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It can then change its direction automatically and clean them without stumbling.

It's the most expensive model I've tested, but it also has the most features. Its sleek and angular design is striking, and it only has three physical buttons. The power button, which restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to take the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.

The only negative I discovered with this model was that its VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary) however, it's a hassle to remove the mount itself for manual washing. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot passes will come into contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener mechanism on the mount, which can cause scratches.

The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features that include support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app lets you manage and configure these smart features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and track the battery's lifespan. You'll need to jump through some hoops to activate voice control on this model. This is a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a leader in the industry with cutting-edge features, high suction power and cutting-edge mopping capabilities. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while also saving time.

The X40 Best robot vacuum cleaner UK vacuum cleaner is the first to offer 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. Additionally, the X40 is very quiet during its operation, with only occasional squeaks of sound when switching modes or completing self-maintenance tasks.

Another noteworthy feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brush, which lets it get into difficult-to-access corners and clean curved furniture like table and chairs' legs. It also lets the robot to get under furniture with a low profile which makes it a great choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically tilts down when it spots wet spots. This is a wonderful feature that allows the X40 to avoid damaging floors by the frequent back-and-forth movement.

Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 is capable of performing both vacuuming and mopping at the same time or separately. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and skip carpeted areas or reverse the process. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple and simple to use, and the X40's smart features are a breeze to set up. Users can program the X40 for cleaning at specific times. It is also possible to alter suction power, alter modes, look at maps and floor plans, and control mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress, and alert you when it's done.

The X40 is easy to maintain and comes with many convenient features that make it a great option for busy families. The docking station automatically empty the dustbin into a large 3.2 L bin, cleans the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It also can detect when the mop pad is full and notify you before it overflows, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available on the market. It has several characteristics that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature of its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is more than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mop is cleaned and dried in the base station each time they are used. This feature is great because it stops mould and unpleasant odours that can build up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot hoover and mop mop and vacuum models. It could be a great method to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's an impressive amount of settings available that include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to make these settings or utilize the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a number of options to customize your cleaning routine. It also comes with a number of features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most elegant robots we've seen on market, with a white and metallic design that is elegant and stylish. It's a little heavier than the other two-in-one robots on this list - at around 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy, and it feels robust and well built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop is great for hard floors and in corners. They can even reach down to 2mm of baseboards due to the MopExtend feature, which is a nice feature.
