World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
The upgrade option lets players boost the gear rating of an item upgrader kit by up 700 points and also give it a bonus. Items can be upgraded by keeping them in inventory before heading to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like an ideally made breakpoint armour that can be rolled to use in melee PvP) while other items, such as weapons do not change significantly after an upgrade, and therefore aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to improve their numeric stats such as the chance to crit, attack damage PvE and PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus which is activated when three or more of the same weapon are present on a unit. This bonus may be greater than the damage that a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
A weapon's upgrade costs depend on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example, an +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones while a+3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a gun will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point it will reset to one.
Upgraded weapons can also alter their base stats. While this is usually an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences as well. Upgrades can render items unusable, unless you are extremely lucky.
Upgrades can be made to armor items to improve their effectiveness. In the case of chests or helms it will boost the defense of its base, while a belt and gloves will improve their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may change its roll to a lower value.
The upgrade template for a weapon displays the new stats that it will gain when upgraded in addition to their relative values. This means that an upgrade from a sword that has 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword would result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will be hit three times less, since it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is also possible by pressing the green button within the item level upgrade menu, using the arrows that are circling. This will reroll the item upgrader mod and alter its stats, however, it will not reset the weapon's levels or connect to the status of your account.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor can make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison, curse, fire and magic resistance, which can make the journey through difficult terrain a breeze. In general, the greater defense your character has, the more value you get from each point of health you have, so it's important to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four in total, and each requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. Once you've completed the primary side quest and have completed the fountain in question, you can then contact any Great Fairy to open up the armor upgrading menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded up to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you're looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and 10 Rupees for the initial upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to an increase of 5 defense rating, which will allow you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other is able to be upgraded as high as +20 defense so that you can survive a raid with your comrades.
Note that armor can't be upgraded the same way as weapons, so you'll want to focus on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power if you're a Mage. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for armor you'll be wearing at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you use for the final boss battle, the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
By giving the jeweler 10 Twinkling Titanite in Gerudo Town in Gerudo Town, you can unlock perks for your armor. In general, you should keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll be using to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few improvements to the helmets and chest armor that let you stealthy battle certain monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that, when consumed by the player, provide an immediate effect. There are five types of potions with different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded to increase their level of effectiveness. In addition the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust to the potions.
Potion upgrades require a certain amount XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a craft table or by storing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading will vary based on the kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and rarity.
To upgrade a potions simply right-click on it in your inventory. Select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open an GUI that lets you select the potion you would like to upgrade and the amount of experience they'll provide when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you have.
When a poton is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade until you make use of it again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
Version 1.7.2 introduced a few changes to the mechanism of potions. For example the splash potions now have an average duration of zero,08 seconds (this is not the same as 22.5 seconds displayed on the hover display of the Best item upgrade). The potion table can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. The same applies to the use of a potion in a cauldron that is full. This will deplete the potion and refill the bottle.
There are also simmering potions made using dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone is also added to lingering potions to extend their effects. The table of potions is arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were introduced, including potion of leaping, potion of decomposition, and turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be described as a small and affordable ornament or piece of jewelry. It can be a reference to an object or ornament that serves a function but isn't particularly significant such as a trinket. In certain traditions, trinkets are used to signify affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
In addition to armor, weapons and potions, players are able to upgrade their trinkets. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Unlike other item upgrades, trinkets can be traded out at any time without losing their stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. One can upgrade a trinket for as little as 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base level as the old trinket but will also have an additional bonus of 1% upgrade.
Once the old Trinkets have become not usable, they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded between players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players must upgrade their most valuable items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other pieces of equipment they won't replace anytime soon (such as rings or cloaks). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when selecting which items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for tank players, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful, trinkets can be upgraded to a higher level. The upgraded trinket will give you an additional 1% bonus. However, a re-upgrade item will destroy the old trinket, unless it is salvaged with the Black Lion Salvage Kit or an alternative salvage tool that is higher-end. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades but still cheaper than buying a new one.
