World of Warcraft Upgrades and item upgrader mod Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades can also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will increase 3% of its previous attack damage every time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases with the item's level.
Components
Upgrade components are items that can be inserted into weapons, armor, and trinkets to provide a stat bonus or extra effect while they're in use. They can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors or trading with other players, or looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be inserted. Unlike other mods, upgrade components can only be used once; they cannot be applied repeatedly or replaced by new upgrades. Infusions and Enrichments are kind of upgrade component that can be used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascended equipment, as well as some non-ascended items. Infusions and enrichments can be retrieved by salvaging gear that is ascended or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, which alters the name of the item it's applied to (for example 'Canthan Armor Insignia,' becomes Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase an item's Mark Level, or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment with fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.
A 'boost upgrade' can alter the defense or attack attributes of a weapon or armor. These upgrades can be made using the Portative Forging Station once the player completes the cutscene and defeats the Crazed Mechanic. These upgrades are available for purchase them from the cash shop, or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other gear.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a better-quality version of an item will be available in the next reset. This gives the player some incentive to keep upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of the extent to which it will improve following a subsequent reset.
The boost upgrade may be successful or not, the process can be costly and there is a significant possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break when it fails; a unsuccessful upgrade could destroy Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items to double or even eliminate the chances of failure, and a few upgrades that give a bonus when reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs boost the power of all nodes in the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs can be upgraded in various ways, and we recommend getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.
In the endgame you'll often discover that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded straight to level 15, and they provide significant boosts to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to reach higher nodes much faster.
Glyphs, the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and then replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment, which requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and re-place.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you select it from your inventory. You can replace it with an Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.
You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of the Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use, and through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt has the chance of dropping one of the numerous Glyphs as well as also a few rare Glyphs that can be found as drops from any of the four Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs you will require them to be put on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that can boost the stats of a particular set of nodes in the vicinity of the Glyph. It could be +40 for one of your primary stats, or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.
The use of Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximise the impact. For example, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes, but you should also consider placing them near critical damage nodes too.
Leveling
The item upgrade system allows players to increase the effectiveness of certain items by inserting upgraded components. This is known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded until they reach a maximum level of ilvl 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table, or purchased from some NPCs. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns some Technology Points. These points can be used to upgrade the item. Once enough points are earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When a player upgrades an item upgrade it will be replaced by the new item. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own set of bonuses. This could be a drawback since the item may be more expensive even if you don't need it.
Item upgrades can sometimes be rerolled, provided that the player has enough tokens in order to do this. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, with a level 1 base and a totally different set of extra bonuses. This is a good option for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can use up many resources.
Some upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, since it grants a buff if the player repeatedly enters or leaves the water. It can be upgraded multiple times, each time raising the max roll by a factor of 10. This item is extremely valuable in PvP, as an item that is properly rolled it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The ability to upgrade items allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment - weapons, armor, and trinkets above ilvl 385--by presenting the appropriate currency and items to an NPC that upgrades items. The upgrade of armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of that piece, while upgrading weapon items will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.
All items can be upgraded up to five times except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Every time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The failure rate increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can cause the item to return to its original state and the player having to purchase more materials than if they had stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar on the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition, the item will lose any bonus it earned such as crit chance, attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with the effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor after the failure.
If an item is upgraded, the upgrades are applied in order from the lowest to the highest. This means that if a weapon increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is recomputed every time an upgrade is made.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating as well as the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equivalent to the value of the base item. For example an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For example they may require less sowels, but they will require more minerals and orons. The player will still need to take every piece of gear they want to upgrade to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade cost mentioned above, each upgrade requires an individual amount of ingredients needed to upgrade.
