World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.

For instance an item with the upgrade template that ends in % will take on 3% attack damage every time it is upgraded (relative to its previous value).

The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the item's current level. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components are items that can be put into armor, weapons and trinkets to provide an additional stat boost or effect while they're in use. They can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them; the item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other mods can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and enrichments are a kind of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet legendary or ascending equipment, as other items that are not ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging ascended gear or completing an elite task in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.

A prefix or suffix may be added to an upgrade, thereby changing the name of the item it's applied to (for instance, 'Canthan Armor Insignia',' changes to Canthan Armor Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players to create stronger versions of the item using the smallest amount of Upgrade crystals than they require to achieve the same level with normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of the weapon or armor. These upgrades are available to be crafted from the Portative Forging Station once the player has completed the cutscene, and defeats the Crazed Mechanical. These upgrades are available for purchase them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have the maximum of five boost upgrades at one time; each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives the player an incentive to continue upgrading their gear even if they're not sure of how much they'll improve following a subsequent reset.

The process of upgrading an item upgrader could be costly and it's possible that the item will be obsolete, or even break, if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed when the upgrade fails. Cash shop items can be used to decrease or eliminate the risk of failure. Some upgrades also give a bonus if they are reinserted.

Glyphs

Glyphs are upgrade Item components that can be placed in special sockets on the Paragon Board. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes in their radius and include pre-existing affixes to equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in many ways. We recommend upgrading them as quickly as you can to level 15.

You'll often see in the endgame that putting Glyphs is the Best item upgrade method to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade components that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide significant boosts to your power on the Paragon Board.

Glyphs, which is the only upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again are the most commonly used. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires the use of a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a specific range of values that it can improve a statistic by. The value is displayed when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to increase the value of the Glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of an Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Each Faction Crypt can drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll need them to be placed on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a special bonus that boosts the stats of a specific set of nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats, based on the Glyph.

Using the Glyph can boost all nodes that are connected to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs near the most important nodes of the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids for instance should put their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may be able to place them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to increase the effectiveness of specific items by putting upgraded components inside them. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item has a level, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum of 385. Each level of item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.

Some upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes can be purchased from NPCs or found on the upgrade tab of crafting tables. Each Upgrade Recipe that is completed earns a number of Technology Points. These points can be used for upgrading an item. Once enough points are earned, you will be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When an item is upgraded by a player, the base item is replaced with a new item of the same kind. This means that the same piece of armor will be transformed into an weapon or shield once upgraded. The new item also has its own bonus. This can be a downside since the item may be more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens, they can roll the upgrade of their item. The item will be replaced by the same item, but it has a base of level 1 and totally different bonuses. This can be useful for certain items, however it shouldn't be performed frequently, since it can waste lots of resources.

Certain upgrades can boost their value and allow players to modify their equipment. One example is Dolphin's Gift, which gives a buff when the player repeatedly enters and exits water (or swims like dolphins). The item can be upgraded many times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as the best version of it can be worth between 20 and 50 times its value if it is not upgraded.

Requirements

The ability to upgrade items allows players to upgrade the level of their equippable gear--armor, weapons and trinkets that are above ilvl 385 by offering the appropriate items and currencies to an NPC who upgrades items. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items boost their base damage as well as their strength and dexterity.

Each item can be upgraded up to five times, except for hero equipment, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can result in the item returning to its original condition, which requires the player to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.

If an item isn't upgraded the experience bar in the bar for growth will be reset to zero. In addition, the item upgrader will lose any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as all additional effects associated with that effect (for example, increased heal over time or speed of reload). The player can continue to use their weapon or armor after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded receives a crit chance boost, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. A new attribute known as Slots is now added to the item's definition and the value is recomputed each time an upgrade is made.

The amount of resources required to upgrade an item are dependent on its rarity score and upgrade slot count. The upgrade cost for non-premium items is the same as the base value of the upgrade. For instance, a standard equipment item might have 5 upgrades, each costing 25,600 Technology Points and a 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero grade items will have the lowest cost for each upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements as compared to standard equipment, for instance, they might require fewer sowels but more minerals and erons. The player will need to take every piece of equipment they want to upgrade item to NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each equipment upgrade will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the costs mentioned above.
