Additionally, it comes with adjustable feet that fold down to ensure it's placed at just the right height.
In terms of safety, the cot is padded and fitted with mesh sides for better airflow, and the mattress is made from high-density foam to provide extra protection. It is also wipeable and you can keep the crib clean. It comes with a fitted bed sheet that can be used for the crib.
Contrary to other cribs that are bedside like the Roomie Glide is suitable for the majority of beds, including divans thanks to its straps and clip attachment. It can also be used as a stand-alone crib when it's not connected to your bed and it's packed with features that are specifically designed with the bonding between parents and babies in mind.
It is important to remember that this crib will not last as long after your baby turns six months old. You will have to purchase a larger cot. But, in general Roanna found that the Joie Roomie Glide was a really good buy and she especially liked its sleek design.
The Roomie Glide is available to purchase from John Lewis for PS160, which Roanna considered to be an affordable cost for a cot that has such advanced features. She also liked how it appeared in the bedroom and believed that the grey color is a good fit for modern homes. However, she did point out that it isn't a great idea to rock a younger baby, as it can create the stage for bad habits that will affect later sleep patterns.
The Tutti Bambini CoZee
The Tutti Bambini CoZee bedside crib is designed to give you an uninterrupted night's sleep. It comes with an adjustable side rail that can be easily lowered to feed your child during the night without disturbing them or getting out of bed. This is great for breastfeeding mothers! It's also light, making it easy to move around the house during nap time and for travelling.
We love that it's made of soft fabrics with mesh sides that are breathable, which promote airflow and ease of use. It's available in oak and charcoal, with a range of melange fabric options that blend well with most decor styles. Anna found it sturdy and secure when affixed to her bed, with the legs securely snapping into the bed and the zips secured to ensure safety for babies. It took Anna about 10 minutes to put it together and didn't require any tools. There are clear instructions along with a video and customer support number if you experience any issues.
In addition to the standard features you'd expect from a best bedside cot crib that include the ability to be connected to your bed using a stay-in place connection system and six height levels The CoZee comes with an additional incline option which can be used to help ease reflux or congestion in infants. It can also be washed by a machine and is a must for all the spills and snot that accompany a new baby!
The CoZee is a fantastic option for keeping your child in the first six months of learning to sleep independently. It can be used as a changing station, cot or toddler bed. It can be turned into a sofa bed by the addition of an extension pack. While it won't magically put your baby to sleep or feed them, it can rock the baby and take them to school.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic
This is one of the more expensive options. However, it has many great features. It can be used as either a side-sleeper or as a standalone crib and is suitable for infants from birth to six months. It has a new mechanism to open and close the side panel, and is easy to operate, even for one-handed operation. It is also more adjustable than the predecessor, with 11 different height settings as well as legs that retract to installation underneath any bed.
Our testers appreciated the ease of access provided by the side panel that can be moved up and down with one click of a switch. This was particularly helpful during nighttime feedings as they could reach inside and pick up their baby without disturbing them up.
The side panel can be lifted by itself however it isn't advised as it increases the risk of your baby falling out of the cot. The patented safety locking system ensures that the side panel will only remain in place if it's attached correctly to the mattress of the parent. This is a great feature to have for peace of mind, particularly when you're breastfeeding and need frequent feedings at night.
The Chicco Next2Me Magic is designed to be compatible with any bed that includes divan bases as well as beds with drawers due to the telescopic legs. It also comes with tilting functions to help babies who are refluxy and a rocking feature to soothe them back to sleep after eating. It's also extremely large and has excellent ventilation thanks to its mesh sides.
Our test participants found the Next2Me Magic easy to set up and use, however it does have quite a long instruction manual. It's a bit heavier than some of the other side-sleepers but it's still very mobile and can be moved from room to room easily. It's also foldable up into its travel bag which is great for those who want to transport it. The only issue our testers noticed was that the side panel did not flex as much as the other models, which made it slightly harder to observe your child from your own bed.
The Shnuggle Air
The Shnuggle Air amazon bedside cot crib is an excellent choice if you want a crib that grows with your child. It's designed to be a sleep-co-sleeping bassinet that can be attached securely to your bed and convert into a stylish cot bedside when your baby is ready, it's perfect for night-time feeds and for strengthening your bond with your infant.
The Shnuggle Air crib is designed to breathe, unlike some other cribs. Its dual-view mesh side panels and airflow mattress that is breathable and hypoallergenic increase airflow to keep your baby cool and comfortable. A gentle incline helps to ease colic and reflux and colic, while the zip-down side makes it easy to feed or comfort your baby bedside sleeper throughout the night.
The cot conversion kit (sold separately) is also well-designed, with clear directions and everything you need to begin. It took us about an hour to assemble and was relatively simple. The only drawback to the instructions was that some pictures did not have captions. This made it difficult for us to follow. However, overall it was a straightforward process and the quality of the materials used was high.
The Shnuggle Air is a great option for mothers who are breastfeeding or have had an e-csection. It lets them reach out and hold their baby to comfort them and feeding without having to leave their bed. It's great for parents who do not want to go through the burden of putting their infant in a traditional cot, or even getting them out of it.
The gliding motion was discovered to be very helpful in lulling babies to sleep following meals during the midday or at night. The drop-down side can be accessible to feed or soothe babies in the middle of the night and was a major draw for our exhausted test mothers. While it doesn't rock or come with extra features like an audio system, the Joie Roomie Glide's elegant design and practicality are a welcome addition to our top crib reviews for bed.
