This projector has very good grayscale OOTB, with the smallest DeltaE errors being 2.3 (which is barely visible to the trained eye). It also displayed a number of subtle color variations, such as when Adam hit his light staff into the ground.
Other features include 3D support, keystone correction and automatic focus. These features ease the installation process. It also supports BenQ's standard configuration options. It doesn't support the vertical focus or lens shift. It does come with a digital image warping feature which can be helpful in less than ideal installations, but it does impact the image quality.

Subjectively, I found the GP500 to have very precise grayscale OOTB. It measured a DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's seen by the human eye but still quite good. The Dynamic Contrast feature really added depth to the a few night scenes in Life of Pi and the colors on display were excellent as well. Avatar looked very good as well.

It comes with an automatic shield lock to prevent it from opening during riding (or an accident). The rear of the helmet is equipped with an adjustable double-d-ring fastener which is tool-free.
The auto-focus feature was extremely fast and efficient - producing clean clear images with lots of distinct shades. It struggled with the darker scenes at night in Life of Pi but overall it gave a cinematic feeling.
There are no race rep graphics for the GP500, but you can purchase Airoh Sectors and Cosmos with a black finish. You can also buy it with Rockstar, Drive and Check graphics to give it a more track-focused appearance.

These are useful for less-than-ideal installs as they make it easier to display an image in a flat format. However, they can affect the quality of the image. It is important to be aware of this. The GP500 produced extremely clean and distinct colors. It also had a great grayscale performance OOTB.
