robots that vacuum and mop (official site)

Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of cleaning both dry debris (dust, dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without the need to switch out devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should have impressive navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models that automatically empty their bin and refill their water tank, and machine-wash their mopping pads from the dock that is specifically designed for them.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've tested. Unpacking the S1 Pro is simple, and the quick-start guide will get you running with a clean, full dust bag, floor solution for hard floors and water tank in no time.

The S1 Pro is a powerful little machine that is able to clean up a storm and vacuums well too. The mops spin at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly application that lets you select the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.

For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are excellent too and the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. The only problem is that it tends to crash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you precisely what the robot vacuum with mop has done, where it is going, and which obstacles he has run into or avoided.

A large LCD screen on the docking station informs you when maintenance jobs are required including emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent into the tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.

Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for up to 184 minutes in quiet mode and the vacuum can last for 136 minutes in normal mode, before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive that lets you see every aspect of the cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's top robot vacuum and mop. This year's model has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This increases the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has enhanced suction power, which allows it to pick up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners may overlook.

This Roborock model, like the other two I tried is equipped with infrared and 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls and other obstacles. However, the S8 Pro Ultra takes things an extra step by adding a dual camera which can detect objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It is able to change its direction in a way that is automatic vacuum and mop and clean around them without stumbling.

It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye-catching and it only has three physical buttons which include the power button which can also restart cleaning; a mop-only switch that doubles as a child lock; and a home button that can return the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid, you will find the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically emptys and the bin auto-refills.

The only downside I've found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. While you can replace the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to take off the mount to wash it manually. I've found that any plush carpet that the robot touches will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and that can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart features that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app allows you to manage and configure these advanced features. It also has maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering the performance of this model.

3. Dreame X40

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with cutting-edge features, high suction power and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design lets you to personalize and efficiently clean while saving time.

The X40 is the first robotic cleaner and mop vacuum cleaner to deliver 12,000 Pascals of cleaning power, which easily makes it one of the best automatic vacuum options available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry mess. It also comes with a top-quality mop that leaves hard floors spotlessly clean, even with a wet pad. The X40 is also extremely quiet when in operation, with only occasional bursts during modes changes or self-maintenance.

Another standout feature is the X40's expandable and liftable side brushes, that allows it to reach hard-to-reach corners and intimately clean furniture such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to access furniture that is low-profile making it an ideal choice for small apartments and condominiums with small spaces. The side brush automatically lowers itself when it spots wet spots, which is a nice touch that helps the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.

In contrast to other robots that are limited to a single task, the X40 can vacuum and mop simultaneously. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame app or by using Alexa, Siri, and Google Home to ensure a smooth voice-controlled operation.

The app is simple to use and intuitive and the X40 has many smart features that are simple to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, adjust suction power and mode, see floor plans and mapping, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also keep track of its progress and notify you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy-to-maintain and offers many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. The docking station will automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads, then refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect when the mop pad is full and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the necessity for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. However, it has a number of characteristics that make it stand out. The mops are equipped with a new feature called Smart DuoScrub. It uses two high-speed mops to scrub floors more thoroughly than the standard method, and it comes with the highest suction power of 7,000Pa. This is higher than Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are cleaned and dried at the base station each time they are used. This is a great feature because it stops mould and unpleasant odours from building up in storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a feature we haven't seen on other robot vacuum cleaner best vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home clean longer.

There are plenty of options, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust preferences. The app lets you set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is easy to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also offers several features that aren't offered on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.

The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots listed on this list, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. Mopping is also well-designed, and the double rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. They can even extend up to 2mm baseboards thanks to the MopExtend feature which is a nice feature.
