WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to specific stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

Upgraded gear generally sees greater value for trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The Best item upgrader upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enhancements.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level. For example weapons are more expensive than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Certain upgrades provide discounts on Flightstones. Once an item is upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available in the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades are acquired via various methods that are both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3 the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with some new features added. After the player has upgraded to a certain item level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items are from another set of gear.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required to upgrade is also reduced and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.

Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are utilized during specific item level upgrade (click) level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the most complex requires as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Using these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. Once a piece of gear attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another notable modification is that crests have one use therefore it's essential to use them wisely. For instance, it's Best item upgrader to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly true for items such as rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
