WoW Upgrades - The Best item upgrader Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by 3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear is usually more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are not as valuable for those with higher variance due to the requirement to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item level upgrade (Full Posting) upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by giving the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. The item upgrades used to upgrade the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities and can be accessed at any time to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however they'll always be cheaper than buying new gear. For instance upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while buying a similar item from another player will costs 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase tools, armor, weapon, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will show an image of the item at the next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lesser amount of the two currencies.
Many locations have upgraders for their items in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and the chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. Instead the NPCs that are available to facilitate upgrades require various methods that are both an improvement but also a drawback.
In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading additional items to the same level will be less expensive, even when they are part of a different gear set.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a variety of options when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is that is of a particular rank. Each rank has a different upgrade path. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, contingent on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with heroic difficulty for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
Utilizing these new currencies isn't too difficult however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they have only one purpose. For instance it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you plan to create. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
