1. Baby Jogger City Tour 2 Double
The City Tour 2 Double stroller is the smallest model in the Baby Jogger range. It's designed for travel and easily fits through most normal doors thanks to its slim design, it's also one of the most light double buggies available on the market weighing just 14lbs when folded. This makes it perfect for traveling with a toddler and newborn because you won't have to exceed the luggage allowances of airlines. It can also be folded into the size of the size of a small travel bag so you can store it in the back seat of your car.
It's simple to fold the Z-shape by using one hand. Once you're used to it, it's compact and only takes just a few seconds. However, our tester discovered the auto lock to be a bit confusing. Also, since the handlebar wasn't locked into place when you press it, it landed on her legs when she was using it. The handlebar was a little on the short side and especially with the large changing bag hanging off of it.
This double stroller is not as light as other buggies. It has a full range of features, and is one the most versatile double strollers available on the market. It's compatible with two carry cots (available separately), has multiple recline positions and a UV 50+ canopy. You can also add an additional bassinet to one or both seats, and turn this into a travel system.
The four rubber composite wheels are perfect for pavements and urban terrain however, they're not designed for off-roading. They struggled on long grass and gravel and there's a lack of space between the bracket and the wheel, which means that mud could get stuck easily. Our testers loved this buggy and was able to climb pretty muddy hills.

It's a heavier tandem buggy but it's very easy to use and steer, particularly on smooth pavements. It's stable in single Double stroller and double mode, and can be used on sloped ground. It's not as simple to drive on public transport, however, as it requires more than one hand on the handlebar. It's also heavy and can't be stuffed into the standard car boot with the seat on, however this can be overcome by careful planning. iCandy have included the footmuff, changing bag and car seat adapters in the price, making this an excellent value for parents who are new.

Our testers noted that the Nipper Double was incredibly easy to manoeuvre, even when taking on uneven ground or when turning swiftly in an area with a lot of traffic. The possibility that the seats could be reclined independently was an enormous hit.
The hoods were also simple to adjust for sun or wind protection. They did not offer as much coverage as the Baby Jogger City Mini Hoods. It's probably worth carrying an additional rain cover in the case.
Overall, our test participants were impressed by the Nipper double's ability to allow them to take their twin pushchair from birth daughters Sydney and Lyla to all kinds of adventures. From seeing wildlife in the forest or rushing to a park to play with their friends, they loved it. Our testers were also amazed with how spacious and comfortable the two seats are. There's plenty of room to stretch out for toddlers who are growing. The lack of parent-facing seating and the inability of using a car seat in this buggy were cited as a problem by our testers. They would also have preferred a larger storage space for shopping and other equipment.
