World of Warcraft - item upgrader Upgrading
The upgrade items option lets players boost an item level upgrade's gear rating up 700 points, and then add a final bonus. Items can be upgraded if they are in your inventory and you take them to the kiln.
Certain items can be upp'd for their unique stats (like perfect rolled breakpoint armour used in melee PvP) while others like weapons do not vary greatly post upgrade and thus aren't worth upgrading.
Weapons
Weapons can be upgraded to increase their numeric stats like the chance to crit, attack damage as well as PvE and PvP damage. Weapons also have a flat bonus which increases their damage per second. Many weapons also have a fixed bonus which is activated when three or more identical weapons are placed in a group. In some cases this bonus could amount to more than the amount of damage that a weapon can sustain by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is based on the quality of the weapon and its current level. For example the weapon with a +2 rating will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will increase until it needs an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones. At that point, it will reset back to one.
Upgrades to weapons can also alter the stats of their base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. In the case of items that are only used in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example) upgrading them can render them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to boost their performance. In the case of chests or helms this will increase its base defense while gloves and belts will enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also has an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense percentage, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that the weapon will gain an attack damage of 3% if it is upgraded from an 8 attack damage sword to an 11 attack damage sword. However the 3% does not mean that it will be hit 3 times less often because it's an absolute statistic.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with arrows that circle in the menu for items. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but it won't reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor can make an enormous difference in your ability to survive. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses and fire as well as magic. This can make it easier to get through difficult areas. In general, the more defense you can offer your character, the greater health you will gain from each point. Therefore, it's a good idea to upgrade your armor.
To upgrade your armor, head to any of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four Great Fairy Fountains within the game, and to unlock them all, you must complete an additional quest involving the Stable Trotters. After you've completed the main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you can talk to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
The amount of materials needed to upgrade each piece of armor will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anything from three to five Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and then anywhere from five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a +5 defense rating, which allows you to keep up in cold environments with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to withstand a rout with your friends.
It's important to note that armor cannot be upgraded in the same way as weapons, so you'll want to work on upgrading it to gain physical power if you're a Warrior or Spell Power in the case of Mage. It is recommended to save your armor upgrades to upgrade the armor that you'll still be wearing at the end of the story, like the Ring of Lightning, Spectral Shield or the mask you'll wear in the final boss fight the Monter Parts Merchant Mask.
You can also get some perks for your armor by giving the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. It is generally recommended to save these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to beat the game. For example the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have a few upgrades to the helmets and chest armor to allow you to get around a few monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by a participant, produce the player with a temporary effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Some potions can be upgraded, increasing their effectiveness. Additionally, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding glowstone dust or redstone to the potions.
Potion upgrades cost a specific amount of XP. This can be earned by crafting them on a crafting table or the chest of the Alchemist. However, the cost of upgrading is dependent on the type of potion you'd like to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion, right-click on it in your inventory and choose the "Upgrade" option from the menu. This will open a GUI in which you can select the potions you wish to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll produce when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total amount of XP you have.
Once a potion is upgraded and stored, it will not degrade in the event that you take it out again or break the bottle in the container it is stored. Clicking on the potion in your inventory will allow you to rename it.
Version 1.7.2 brought a few changes to the mechanics of potions. For instance, splash potions now have the duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display for the item upgrader kit). The potion table is constructed from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. This allows it to be utilized by players playing Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be combined in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion on a full cauldron, it drains the liquid and replenishes the bottle.
Finally, there are lingering potions that are brewed with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can also be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions are also added, for instance, the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket can be an ornament that is small and inexpensive or piece jewelry. It could be a reference to an object or decoration that serves a purpose, but is not particularly important, such as a thimble. In certain cultures, a trinket is used to signify friendship or affection, especially between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons, armor, and potions. Upgrades can be purchased by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, and in some instances in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets are purchased using tokens, gold or fragments of rare trinkets.
Upgrades are a less expensive alternative to buying a brand new trinket. It can be done by players for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl as old one, and will have an additional 1% upgrade bonus.
Once the old Trinkets have become no longer useful they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players and are a viable alternative to gold.
Players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that won't replace in the near future (such as an earring or a cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding which items to upgrade. For example when Haste and Crit are the two most important stats for a tank it is recommended that they upgrade their helm, chest, shoulders, and belt.
Trinkets can be re-upgraded to a higher ilvl after they're no longer needed and the new trinket can be upgraded to have an additional bonus of 1% for upgrading. However, a re-upgrade can ruin the previous trinket in the event that it is not salvaged using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or a higher-tier salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still less expensive than purchasing a new one.
