WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. A random additional substat is also boosted alongside every upgrade.
Upgraded gear is generally more useful, unless the item has a low requirement by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a high variance in stats (like Eth Titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear up-to-date it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every several weeks.
The cost of upgrades will vary based on the current item upgrade level of the item being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to Item Level upgrade owners for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased it can be used on any weapon or tool using an The button will display the item's next upgrade level, in the event that there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrades varies based on the item slot and current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currency types.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and a possibility of obtaining the latest recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It is also possible to be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an Best item upgrade upgrader at start, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a positive and a disadvantage.
In Season 3, several new features were added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a particular item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will cost less even if they belong to an entirely different set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is account-wide. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain achievement milestones.
Crests
When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a variety of choices. Flightstones are an item that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item upgrader kit level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that Crests are only available to gear of a certain rank. Each rank has an upgrade path that is different. The simplest and simplest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade can require up to 20 crests, depending on the kind of gear that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an item upgrader such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, but it does bring some changes to the upgrade items process. For instance, once an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
Another important change is that crests only have one usage therefore it's essential to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrade equipment you have and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you're planning on making. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to take advantage of the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality gear.
