WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of an item by +3. Each upgrade also boosts an unspecified substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are not as important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied on any type of armor or weapons. However, the Best item upgrade used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create enchantments.
The upgrader is located in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your equipment. To ensure that your equipment is up-to-date it is recommended you visit the upgrader each few weeks.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item, however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. For example, upgrading a chest piece from Benthic to 385 ilvl will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from another player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for various currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.
The upgrade cost depends on the item slot and the current item level, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was modified a bit, and several new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less even if they are part of another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required for upgrades is decreased, and the discount is account-wide. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.
Crests
Players have a number of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an item level Upgrade (www.buzzbii.com) that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important element of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
First, you must be aware that the crests can only be purchased for equipment that is of a particular rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, contingent on the type of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content at the appropriate level. This could mean engaging in outdoor activities or taking on dungeons and raids of all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an item upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is designed to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest possible ilvl on all their characters, instead of relying only on seasonal loot.
It's also essential to use crests wisely, as they are only used for one purpose. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the Best item upgrader gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next set of upgrades. This is especially applicable to items like rings and trinkets that occupy several slots. The discount on the account will only apply when all the slots on the character are filled with high-quality gear.
