WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader kit Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). The latter are less valuable from upgrading due to the necessity to roll for a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the item being upgraded, but will always be cheaper than buying new gear from other sources. For example upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points while purchasing the same item upgrader kit from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades for items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.

The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item and the current level of the item, with weapons costing more than bracers or gloves, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain level it is able to be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.

Upgraders for items are available in many places on the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount and a chance to get a brand new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete some specific achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are available only via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been tweaked a bit, with numerous new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a particular level of an item level upgrade items (http://forum.ressourcerie.fr/index.php?qa=user&qa_1=iconsweets8) for a specific armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will be less expensive, even if they belong to another set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain achievement milestones.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated requires as many as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-level gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons with a heroic difficulty to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult however, the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This is to allow players to get their equipment to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters, rather than relying solely on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
