It is also possible to upgrade items through acquiring them in the game. These upgrades are referred to as upgrade shards and can be acquired through defeating bosses in any level of dungeon. They can be used to upgrade armor sets and weapons that allow them to reach the maximum level. However they can only be upgraded one time.
Another way to level up equipment is to use gems that can be obtained through the upgrader. This is useful for a variety of reasons, including increasing the power of the gear or decreasing the weight of the gear. However upgrading a piece gear with a gem can increase the cost of upgrading.

After the reroll the new item, it will be adjusted to level 1, and will have an additional bonus set. It will also change to a random class. For instance an axe will be transformed into an axe, and the bow will transform into a mace.
It is easy to add a reroll function to a plugin, but requires some thought. Rerolling an item could eat the original item. This can result in the loss of resources and gold. It is recommended to not reroll an item that has already been upgraded.
Notetags can be utilized by plugins to alter behavior upgraders. Notetags have a similar function to the tags found in RPG Maker MV. However, they can be linked with specific features. This allows the developer to add custom properties/traits to an upgrader. For instance, a reroll plugin could be tagged to an upgrader to only apply if it's equipped with a certain weapon type. This will stop players from rerolling an upgraded item upgrading again and again. This will help save time and money and stop players from receiving the same upgrade over and over.
Sets
Sets are collections of items which can be organized into distinct groups. They are useful for various fields, such as data management and statistics. Sets also have significant properties, such as the commutative and associative properties. These properties let you perform operations on them, such as union and intersection. For instance, you could, ask a group to stand together and then search the class looking for students who haven't finished their homework (intersection of set). Sets are also used in everyday life to classify items and organize information. Sets can be used to organize information for instance to divide your music playlists based on genre.
