World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades can increase the value of armors, weapons and rings. They also boost extra bonuses like crit chance and PvE damage.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will gain 3% of its previous attack damage every time it's upgraded.
The cost for upgrading items increases when they reach the current level of the item. The cost rises with item's level.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to provide them with a boost in stats or to add an additional effect. These can be obtained by crafting, buying from vendors, trading with other players or looting. Some upgrades also have special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at the very least upgraded to blue level for a component to be inserted. Upgrade components, unlike other mods, can only be applied only once. They cannot be replaced or applied several times. Infusions and Enrichments are type of upgrade component used to upgrade non-amulet legendary and Ascended equipment, as well in some items that aren't ascended. Infusions and enrichments can be recovered by salvaging gear from the ascended, or completing an elite mission in the Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade could include a suffix or prefix changing the name of the equipment with which it is used (for examplefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Certain upgrades boost an item's Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players to create stronger versions of the equipment using fewer Upgrade Crystals than is required to reach the same upgrade level through normal methods.
A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense properties of a weapon, or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist These upgrades can be created at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear, or by purchasing them from the cash store for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the chance that a higher-tier version of an item will be available at the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their equipment even when they're not sure how much it can be improved upon an update.
Whether a boost upgrade is successful or not, the process may be costly and there is a high possibility that the item will become obsolete or even break if it fails. A unsuccessful upgrade could ruin Upgrade Crystals and Assist Powder, as well as the upgraded item. This is reduced by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, as well as some upgrades that offer the benefit of being reinserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to upgrade the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets with special functions. Glyphs increase the power of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing attaches. Glyphs can be upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them up to level 15 as soon as you can.
In the endgame, you will often find that the best way to enhance your equipment is to use Glyphs. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded up to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced, but Glyphs are the only upgrade component that can be removed and re-placed without restriction. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced by using the aid of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
Each Glyph has a particular range of values that it can improve a stat by, and the value is shown when you select the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with another Glyph that is of the same or higher rank to boost the value of the Glyph.
Glyphs can be found in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of an Gem Store bundle or purchase the glyphs with certain tools that allow unlimited use and also during Faction Crypt Raids. Each Faction Crypt will drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have obtained the desired Glyphs, you will need to place them on your equipment. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes that are within the radius of the Glyph. Based on the Glyph it could be +40 to one of your primary stats, or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, which is why it is best to place Glyphs in strategic spots on the Graph. This will increase the impact. For instance that a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage points, but you should also think about placing them near crucial damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system of items allows players to increase the stats of specific items by introducing upgraded components. This is commonly known as "upping". Each upgradeable item comes with an amount, which determines its final upgraded stats. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each level of an item requires different components, and upgrade costs increase with each level.
Certain upgrades require an ingredient to be activated. This ingredient is obtained by making Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe yields a number of Technology Points. These points can be used to level the item, and once enough points have been earned, the upgrade can be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When the player upgrades an item, the base item is replaced with a different item of the same type. This means that the same armor piece will become a weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item also comes with its own bonus. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive, even if you don't need it.
The upgrades to items can be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens to do this. The item will be replaced with an entirely new item that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.
Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to personalize their equipment. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it gives a buff if the player continuously enters or exits water. The item upgrader kit can be upgraded several times, increasing the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item can be extremely valuable in PvP as the Best item upgrader version of it can be worth between 20 and 50x its value without being upgraded.
Requirements
The item upgrader allows players to increase the level of their equippable equipment (armor, weapons trinkets, and weapons) above ilvl385 by presenting the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades to armor set pieces increase its base defense, while upgrades to weapon items increase their base damage as well as the required strength and dexterity.
All items are upgradeable up to five times except for hero gear, which can be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object it is at risk of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to pay more for materials than they would have to had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.
If an item is not able to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item also loses any bonuses it earned like chances to be crit, attack damage, or additional effects (such as an increase in healing over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to highest. This means that the weapon that is upgraded increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any damage to attack increases. A new attribute called Slots has been added to the definition of the item and the value is calculated every time an upgrade item is made.
The amount of resources required to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to its value. For example, a common item upgrader mod might have five upgrades at a cost. 25600 Technology Points 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero grade items have lower costs per upgrade.
Premium items may have different upgrade requirements from standard gear. For example they may require less sowels, however they may require more minerals and orons. However, players will need to visit the NPC [Armorthe ] Boboko in Central Flarine with each piece of equipment they wish to upgrade. In addition to the upgrade costs mentioned above, each equipment upgrade requires a different amount of the ingredients needed to upgrade.
