WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you boosts in certain statistics. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.

The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or a very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with higher variance due to the need to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapon. The item used to upgrade the item is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

The upgrader is located in all major cities and is accessible anytime to upgrade your equipment. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up to date.

Upgrades can cost more based on the level of the item however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar Best item upgrader will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. Players can purchase them from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade has been purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool with a button, which will display an item's preview when it is upgraded when the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item level upgrade and the current item level. For instance weapons cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades offer a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree it is able to be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

item upgrader kit upgraders can be found in a variety of locations, including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the possibility of obtaining a new recipe. The discount on upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be increased by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a drawback.

In Season 3, many new features were added to the upgrade system. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is true regardless of whether the items are from a different set of equipment.

The amount of Valorstones needed to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is cut also, but is only available after certain milestones are reached.

Crests

When upgrading equipment in WoW, players have a few options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more special and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment that is of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade item path. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests depending on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing tasks at the appropriate level. This could mean doing outdoor activities, or by completing dungeons and raids in any difficulty to earn lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses for raids, or dungeons that have a high difficulty for gear in the endgame. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade pathways and steps.

The use of these currencies isn't that difficult however, the system will introduce a few changes to the overall upgrade process. For instance, once an Best item upgrade reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

It's also important to use crests wisely, as they only have one use. It is recommended to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear that you can find, and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is particularly relevant for rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which will only be able to avail the discount for all accounts when all slots are full of high-quality gear.
