World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading
Upgrades boost the value of certain numeric statistics on armor, weapons and rings. Upgrades also increase bonuses such as Crit chance and damage from PvE.
If the template for upgrading a weapon is %, it will be able to gain 3percent of its previous damage for each time it is upgraded.
The cost of upgrading an item is determined by the item's level. The cost increases as the level of the item increases.
Components
Upgrade components can be incorporated into trinkets, weapons and armor in order to give them a boost in stats or add a bonus effect. These can be obtained through crafting, buying from vendors trading or looting. Certain upgrades come with special cosmetic effects.
Upgrade components can only be used on devices that have slots. The item must be upgraded to blue before the component can be applied. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They cannot be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a particular type of upgrade component that is used to upgrade non-amulet ascended or legendary equipment and some of the back items that are not ascending. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a mission in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.
An upgrade can have a prefix or suffix changing the name of the item to the upgrade (for instancefor example 'Canthan Armor Insignia' becomes Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades increase the Mark Rarity or Level of an item, allowing players create stronger versions with less Upgrade crystals than they require to reach the same level using normal methods.
A boost upgrade can modify the attack or defense characteristics of a weapon or armor. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist the upgrades can be crafted at the Portative Forging Station. They can also be dropped by enemies when upgrading other gear or purchasing them in the cash shop for 500 upgrade crystals.
Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher tier version of an item will be revealed at the next reset. This gives players the opportunity to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know what will be improved after an update.
The process of upgrading an item could be costly, and it is possible that the item will become obsolete or even break if the upgrade fails. Upgrade Crystals and assist powders are also destroyed when an upgrade fails. This is mitigated by the availability of cash shop items that double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.
Glyphs
Glyphs can be used to enhance the Paragon Board by placing them in sockets that are specifically designed for. Glyphs can boost the performance of nodes within a radius, and include any pre-existing affixes. Glyphs can be upgraded in numerous ways. We suggest upgrading them as soon as possible up to 15 levels.
You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best method to upgrade your gear. These are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded to level 15 and provide a significant boost to your power on the Paragon Board.
Glyphs, the sole upgrade component that can be removed without restriction and replaced again, are the most common. Only legendary equipment can be salvaged and replaced using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit.
The value of each Glyph is displayed when you choose it in your inventory. You can choose to replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank, or a higher rank, which will increase the value of the glyph.
Glyphs are available in the Black Lion Trading Post as part of the Gem Store bundle or purchase them with certain tools that are unlimited in use as well as during Faction Crypt Raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are also some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.
Once you have the desired Glyphs You will need to place them on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a unique bonus that boosts a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. Based on the Glyph, this will either be +40 to one of your primary stats or +25 to two of your secondary stats.
Glyphs will increase the number of nodes connected to them, so it is Best item upgrade to place Glyphs in strategic places on the Graph. This will maximize the impact. For instance, a Druid should aim to place their Glyphs near their primary damage nodes but also be sure to place them near the most critical damage nodes as well.
Leveling
The upgrade system for items allows players to boost the effectiveness of certain items by adding upgraded components. This is also known as "upping". Each upgradeable item is assigned an amount that determines the final statistics. Upgraded items can be leveled to a maximum of ilvl 385. Each item level requires a different number of components to be reached and the costs for upgrading increase as the item is advanced in level.
Certain upgrades require a specific ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by making upgrade items Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or obtained from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to level up the item, and when enough points are earned, the upgrade will be claimed and its additional bonuses will be added to the item.
When an individual player upgrade an item it will be replaced with the new item. The same armor can be transformed into an weapon or shield when upgraded. The new item will come with a bonus of its own. This could be a drawback because it can cause the item to become more expensive if you don't require it.
Item upgrades [47.108.249.16] can sometimes be rerolled, if the player has enough reroll tokens in order to do so. The item will be replaced by a brand new one that has a level 1 basis and completely different bonuses. This is useful for some items, but it's not something that should be done regularly, as it can waste lots of resources.
Some upgrades can be rerolled many times, increasing their value and allowing the player to customize their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides a buff if the player is repeatedly in or exits water. The item can be upgraded multiple times and increases the maximum roll every time by 10 increments. This item is extremely valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version can be worth 50 times the value of the non-upgraded counterpart.
Requirements
The upgrader for items lets players increase the level of their equipment (armor, weapons, and trinkets) beyond ilvl385 by handing over the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrading armor set pieces will also boost the defense base of the item, and upgrading weapons will increase the damage base and the strength and dexterity required to meet the upgraded equipment's requirements.
Each item upgrader kit can be upgraded up to five times, with the exception for hero equipment, which is able to be upgraded eight times. Each time you upgrade an object, it has a chance of failing. The rate of failure increases as you move beyond the maximum number. Failures can result in the item reverting to its original state which means that the player has to purchase more items than if they stopped upgrading after the maximum amount.
If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. Additionally the item will be deducted any bonuses it gained such as crit chance and attack damage, as well as any additional effects associated with that effect (for instance, a higher healing over time or speed of reload). However, the user can continue to use the weapon or armor following the failure.
When an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it increases its crit chance, the increase will be applied before any damage from attacks increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is recalculated each time an upgrade occurs.
The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is based on the rarity rating and number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading equipment that is not premium is equal to the value of the base item. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades for a price of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance--whereas hero quality items will have the lowest cost for each additional upgrade.
Premium items have different requirements for upgrading than standard gear--for instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they wish to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. Each upgrade to equipment will require different amounts of upgrade ingredients in addition to the cost mentioned above.
