WoW Upgrades - The Best item upgrade Upgrader
Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of the item upgrades by +3. Each upgrade also increases an unspecified substat.
The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). These types of gear get less value from upgrading due to the necessity to roll to get a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade their gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current, it is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks.
The cost of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. Buying a similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items which can be used to upgrade weapons tools, armor, and other items. They can be purchased by players from NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display the preview of an item's next level of upgrade, when there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the item slot, and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than bracers, or gloves. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give discounts on Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower cost.
A lot of locations offer upgraders for items, including the main Island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon and the chance to obtain the latest recipe. The upgrade discount increases with the number of items being upgraded, and can be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Icewind Dale does not have an upgrader for items at the beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety of methods. This is both a benefit as well as a disadvantage.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade item system. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a particular level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading additional items to that level will be less expensive, even if they are part of an entirely different set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. In the same way, the amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players achieve certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
Players have a number of options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized, and are used during specific item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be spent on equipment of a particular rank, and each rank has its own requirements for upgrading. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade path costs 15 crests, while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by completing content of the appropriate level, whether that means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses to obtain endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an item level upgrade upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.
The use of these currencies isn't too difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible level on all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrader equipment you have, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests to use for the next set of upgrades you plan to make. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The account-wide discount will only be applicable if all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
