WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades give you boost in certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the level of the item upgrader kit (ezproxy.cityu.Edu.hk) by +3. Each upgrade item also boosts a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variation (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as important for the latter because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item level upgrade upgrader allows players to upgrade items their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of armor or weapon. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will remain in use for a long time and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be used to create Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrading will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded, but will always be less expensive than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are useful items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased from NPCs of item upgraders in a variety of currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show the item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades having a discount to reduce the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader at a lower price.

A lot of locations offer upgraders for items in addition to the main island and some outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases according to the number of items being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete some specific achievements or complete quests.

Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no upgrader for items in the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit as well as a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system has been modified a bit, and numerous new features added. Once an upgrade has been completed to a certain item level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level, will cost less. This is true even if the items come from an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

When upgrading gear in WoW, players have a variety of options. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific level upgrades for items. Crests are a key element of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in 4 ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests are only available for equipment that is with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the most complicated may require as many as 20 crests based on the type of gear that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with all difficulty for items of higher tier or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons to obtain endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to get the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't that difficult, but the system introduces some modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it will no longer require Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their gear up to the highest ilvl possible on all their characters instead of relying only on seasonal loot.

Another significant modification is that crests have one use and it's crucial to use them properly. It is Best item upgrade to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the highest-quality gear you can locate, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character that will be able to benefit from the account-wide discount when all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
