WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades can give you an increase in certain stats. Each upgrade item boosts the level of an item by 3. A random substat is also added to each upgrade.

Upgraded gear is generally more valuable, unless it has low requirements by nature (like FB sorc shields) or has a large variance in stats (like the eth Titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll an exact version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item that is used for the upgrade will be consumed forever and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. To keep your gear current it is recommended you visit the upgrader every several weeks.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however they'll always be less expensive than purchasing new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, tools, and accessory upgrades. They can be bought by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for a variety of currencies, and can be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade item is able to be used on any tool, weapon, or armor. The button will display the item's next level of upgrade, in the event that there are enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the slot of the item and the current item level upgrade level. For example weapons cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with certain upgrades offering discounts to reduce the cost of Flightstones or crests used. Once an item is upgraded to a certain degree and is degraded, it can be sold and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currency types.

Upgraders for items are available at many locations on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade item coupon as well as the chance to obtain a new recipe. The discount for upgrading increases when more items are upgraded. It can be increased if players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an item upgrader at the beginning, unlike Cromwell from Baldur's Gate II. The NPCs that can assist with upgrades are only available via a variety of ways. This is both a benefit and a disadvantage.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This is even if the items are from another set of gear.

The discount applies to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced too, but it is only available once certain milestones are achieved.

Crests

Players have several options when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone who wants to upgrade. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item upgrade level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system that was introduced in 10.1, and come in 4 ranks.

First, you must be aware that Crests are only available to equipment of a certain rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and simplest upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.

Players can earn crests by finishing tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by engaging in outdoor activities or doing dungeons or raids in all difficulty levels to obtain lower-tier gear or Mythic+ raid bosses or dungeons with a heroic difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.

The new currency system isn't difficult to use, however it will bring some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when an item is at the highest upgrade level of any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change lets players upgrade item their gear to the highest possible level on all of their characters rather than relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one use, so it's important to use them properly. It's best to use your Whelpling-rank Crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find and keep Drake and Wyrm Crests to be used for the next set of upgrades. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, which can only be eligible to benefit from the discount for all accounts when all slots are filled with high-quality gear.
