Choosing a Double Pushchair Twin
If you have twins you need a double pushchair to get them from A to B. Our range comprises of twin prams as well as double buggies in various configurations to meet your family's needs.
Find a stroller that can be folded in one step and then easily tucked away into your car. You may also prefer an ultra-lightweight design, particularly when you're on busy high streets.
Side-by-Side
They are the most popular type of double pushchair that usually can accommodate two children together. They tend to be wider than single pushchairs, which means they may be less nimble on footpaths and can be a bit difficult to navigate through kerbs when a car seat is attached. However, the extra width can mean that they're generally more comfortable to maneuver through doorways and are more evenly distributed making them easier to carry on your back.
Many models can be used as early as birth as twin prams and accommodate a carrycot or two car seats. Some models can be converted into a single mode with a basket alongside (like the Cybex Venus).
One of the most impressive examples of this is the Bugaboo Donkey 5 which, in twin stroller Mode, allows you to fit the rear seat and carrycot side-by-side. This creates a fully enclosed space for twins, and is perfect for babies. This pram also comes with a number of really cool accessories, such as the newborn cocoons which can be put on the front or back (for a twin-facing pram sets) or facing forwards (for a standard single). It's not as light as other models but it's incredibly well created.
Lightweight
Cybex is known for its unique pushchairs, and the single-to-double isn't an exception. The frame can be extended to accommodate another seat. You can use the pushchair as twins from birth by adding two cocoons for babies that cost PS59 each. These cocoons are enclosed and create lie-flat spaces. It is also possible to use it as an individual mode with only one child due to a large shopping basket that is placed behind the seat. It comes with front and rear suspensions that allows it to handle bumps and uneven surfaces better. The top choice from our reviewers.
Available in a variety of elegant colors.
Tandem
If you're planning to have twins you will require a tandem running pushchair. This will allow the children to sit together and interact with each one another. They are ideal for activities such as visiting the zoo because the kids will be able to gaze at all the animals together. They're also ideal for parents who have to keep an eye on their toddler and the other on their child since they can look at both at the same time.
Some tandem pushchairs offer ultra versatility as they can change back to single mode. This is especially useful if you plan to have more children than two (or if your eldest child isn't a need for the buggy anymore). This will prevent you from having to store a buggy empty which can be expensive.
For example for instance, the Cybex Venus can be used in double or mono mode, and features a clever frame that can be expanded to accommodate an extra seat. It's not the tiniest pushchair, but it has an ample basket that can be set behind the front seat in double mode, or at the back if in mono mode. The seats can be placed to face each other, or one can be positioned higher, so that it can look over the other and see what they're doing.
Double tandem pushchairs, like the Joolz Geo 3, are capable of seating one over the other or side-by-side. The sleek, compact frame makes it easy to maneuver through doorways and aisles in supermarkets. Some models can also be used on rough terrain or for a jogging walk thanks to their wide rear wheels and four-wheel suspension.
A tandem pushchair can also be used to transport two carrycots or a car with a buggy seat. You can save money by establishing a travel system at the beginning, and avoiding separate purchases. It is important to remember that tandems are heavier and longer than single pushchairs, and are less stable when bumping up kerbs or going over uneven surfaces. They also need dismantling to fit into cars.
