Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot vacuum bot Deals

This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday and can save you up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with app-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.

1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot

The Roomba J7+, IRobot's most advanced robot to date is the Roomba j7+. Its most significant breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes, and the dreaded pet waste that most other robots can't avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you a photo of an object it encounters so that you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot mop that we have ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly, leaving no trace that it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which allows you to schedule cleaning and set up Keep Out Zones to make sure it doesn't sweep areas you don't want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it by voice.

The design is also superior to the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like a toy rather than the loud and annoying robot. The Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System automatically empty, which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place, instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able capture small pieces of gravel, sand, and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not do this. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's shedding hair.

The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and cannot clean smart robot the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who need both a vacuum and a mop. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that use robotic cleaners. It can take a while to download updates, and at times it's hard to determine whether the update is working until you see it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best choice is probably one that is a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the possibility of washing and re-drying mopping pads. The negative is that they tend to be pricey at full retail price, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they are often reduced in price.

Roborock makes several of our top robotic vacuums, and the Q5+ doesn't perform to the standards. It's the cheapest model in their auto-empty line. Although it might not include some of the premium features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories), it's still an excellent choice for those who are willing to compromise to save a few dollars.

The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles like wall legs and table legs and walls, which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a area where most robot vacuums of lower quality do not excel in. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missing in corners and on walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device itself or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas, modify your home map or re-label the rooms.

If you decide to go with the Q5+ model, it ships with a new auto-empty dock, which was specifically designed to make this machine easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once in place, emptying the bin can be accomplished without difficulty. It also features a large LCD display, which is nice to have when you're setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people but it can assist you in keeping the track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly intelligent in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and function are some of the top available - but it's also pricey.

The base station looks nice and hides it when not in use, and its size is relatively compact. The station's main selling point is the fact that it automates a variety of tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do), empties the dustbin after vacuuming, and ensures that your robot fully charged and clean.

Its vacuuming performance is also impressive. It's the few robot broom vacuums I've tested that do an excellent job of collecting debris from unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.

However, the Freo X Ultra has its flaws, particularly in terms of navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs. This means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It's also not able to climb stairs as well as other models and isn't equipped with a docking station to create a cleaning zone for carpets that are soft.

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a great option for those looking for a vacuum robot that can do everything.

However, if you're looking to save money or simply don't care about the limitations of this robot there are many other great choices available with a wide range of eufy models for considerably less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is a bit more expensive, but offers more features, such as stairs and a fully-function Dock, which provides an improved overall experience when vacuuming on plain floors, low-pile carpets and even high-pile ones.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of creating robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different it offers a high-quality cleaning on hard floors and mopping functions as well as carpets at a price that is affordable. It's easy to set it up, just attach one of the side brushes and turn it on, then plug in your charging dock. The app takes you through a few steps to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. It is recommended to keep the dock near a power outlet and ample space to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it is able to be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design is a little more modest than other models, and features sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The most important characteristic that makes the G30 apart from its competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to create an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and where it cannot access. When it needs to recharge, it will automatically return to its starting point and begins cleaning from where it began.

The eufy G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more constructed, has lower recurring expenses, charges faster and has a similar battery life while offering superior performance on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't have to be emptied as often and comes with an array of boundaries that keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller dust container doesn't require as frequent emptying and it has less trouble with heavy materials such as cereal.
