Robots That Vacuum and Mop

Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save storage space compared to having two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.

A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, refill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

1. Eufy S1 Pro

It's one of the simplest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start manual will have you running in no time. It comes with the complete dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.

The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.

For instance, you can, ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly but leave the bedroom to itself. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and its smart navigation technology are also excellent as the robot is capable of detecting tiny obstacles that other models have difficulty overcoming. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However an inspection of the history of cleaning on the app will show you precisely what the robot hoover has done, where it is traveling, and what obstacles he has run into or avoided.

The docking station features an LCD display that shows the time when maintenance is required like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.

Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 mins in Quiet Mode, and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or returning back to the base. You can view the full cleaning details in the app, which is clearly laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a mop only vacuum and a vacuum/mop clean when looking at a clean area in the history of cleaning.

2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra

The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the latest version of the company's most popular robot mop and vacuum. Unlike last year's model, this one features two agitators in its mopping pad which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning abilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power which allows it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.

Like the other two Roborock models I've tested it also has a 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help it avoid walls, furniture and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further by incorporating a dual-camera that can identify objects, determining if they're walls or other surfaces. It will then automatically alter its path and clean around them without skipping a beat.

It's the most expensive model I've tested and it comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also resumes the cleaning mop button, which doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be opened to reveal a 350ml dustbin and 200ml tank of water. The water tank will empty itself and the bin auto-filling.

The only downside I found with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if necessary), it's a pain to remove the mount for manual washing. I've observed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on the mount, which can cause abrasions.

The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these using the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. However, you'll need to jump through a few hoops in order to allow voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.

The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is an industry leader with its innovative features, top suction power, and advanced mowing abilities. Its innovative design allows for customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.

It also lets the robot to access furniture that is low-profile, making it a great option for apartments or condos with tight spaces. The side brush also automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots, which is a nice addition that assists the X40 keep floors safe from damage caused by repeated back-andforth movements.

Contrary to other robots which solely focus on one task, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming at the same time or individually. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled via the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure smooth voice-controlled operations.

Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times, alter suction power and mode, view floor plans and maps, and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.

The X40 is easy to clean and has many convenient features, making it an ideal choice for busy families. Its docking station automatically empties the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, washes the mop pads, and refills them with clean water and cleaning solution. It can also tell when the mop pad is full and notify you when it gets overflowing, reducing the need for manual maintenance.

4. L20 Ultra

The L20 Ultra robot hoover and mop is one of the most expensive models on the market. It has many features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, which is a new feature on its mop, utilizes two mop heads with high-speed motors to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, small dirt particles and remove spills and dirt-stained spots.

The mops are also dried and cleaned inside the base station after each use. This is an excellent feature since it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in the storage area, and it also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.

There's a plethora of settings available which include the possibility to schedule cleaning appointments and adjust a variety of preferences. The app allows you to define these preferences, or you can make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customizing the cleaning process, and there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles, instead of relying on the manual setting.

The L20 Ultra is also one of the most fashionable robots we've seen in the market, sporting a white and metallic design that looks classy and sophisticated. It is a little heavier at 4kg than some of the other robots on this listing, but it's still not excessively heavy. It is solid and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mops work well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
