top robot vacuum cleaner Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
This is your chance to own a robotic vacuum. CNET's top-rated models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also self-empties and automatically refills its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most expensive robot vacuum intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement is an obstacle detection system that uses built-in AI to detect objects such as charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that the majority of other robots cannot avoid (and often plough right through). It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of any object it encounters so you can tell it to avoid it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the best vacuums robot mop we've ever tested. It cleans up dirt and spills effortlessly leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't want. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is superior to the rest with a sleek top piece that appears more like a toy robot than a loud, obnoxious one. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt Disposal System also self-empties, which can cut down on cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in place rather than scattering it around the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a tiny bit of grit. Most robots could not achieve this feat. It did without getting caught up in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as smart as the Roomba S9 for $1,217+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, it's an excellent choice for those who require both a vacuum and a mop. It's not expensive, and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly to use.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however, we've found it to be less reliable than other applications that utilize robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it can be difficult to determine if they are functioning until you actually witness them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than simply clean your floors then a hybrid is the best robot vacuum cleaner choice. These machines are equipped with a tank of water so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. They also have a number of additional features, such as smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance, and even the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The disadvantage is that they can be expensive at retail, but on Black Friday and Cyber Monday they often drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model. While it doesn't have certain features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still an excellent option if you're willing sacrifice a little to save a few hundred dollars.
The Q5+ is noticeably gentle around obstacles such as table legs and walls, which makes it a great choice for homes with lots of furniture. It is also very thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many cheaper robot vacuums fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb as well, with only a few missing in corners and along walls.
The Q5+, like other Roborock products can be controlled via a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. The app allows you to start and stop cleanings. You can also set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go areas or alter your home map, or change the room's label.
If you choose the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto emptying dock that is designed to make this robot easier to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver but once it's installed, emptying the bin can be done with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen that is very useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't a necessity for the majority of people, but it's one that can aid in keeping track of your robot's maintenance intervals effortlessly.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's incredibly intelligent in its mopping and vacuuming capabilities. Its design is among the top in the market however it's quite expensive.
It's a small base station that looks great and is able to be concealed when not in use. The main reason to buy the station is that it automates many tasks, chores and functions that other robots have to leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water, and then electrolyze and heat the water. The majority of other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive, too. It's the only robovacs that I've tested that does very well at cleaning up debris from plain floors, and is not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
The Freo X Ultra is not free of faults, especially when it comes navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it sometimes gets stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It can't climb stairs as well as competitors, and doesn't come with an dock that allows the user to set up an area for cleaning that is specifically designed for carpets with plush padding.
The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an excellent choice for those who need a vacuum robot that can do it all.
If you're looking to save money or aren't averse to the limitations of the robot, there are many alternatives available. Many eufy models cost significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo curv, for instance is less expensive, but offers many more features, like stair climbing and a full-function Dock, which provides the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on plain floors carpets, low-pile carpets, and even high-pile ones.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
eufy, an Anker company is a long-standing leader of producing robot vacuums that strike the perfect balance between performance, features and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different, offering a capable cleaning of hard floors and carpets and mopping function too at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock near an electrical outlet and plenty of room cleaning robot for it to move however.
The G30 is a tiny device that measures 2.85 inches in height, which means it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Clean (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also connect the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its competitors. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of the immovable objects it encounters and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and where it can't access. When it's time to recharge, it automatically returns to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it began.
The elegant G30 isn't without its faults, though. The iRobot Roomba is better built and has lower cost of operation. It is faster to charge, has similar battery life and is more effective on bare flooring or carpet with a low pile. It has a bigger dust bin, which doesn't require more emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 is more affordable and simpler to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't have to be empty as often and has less difficulty with bulky items like cereal.
