Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've ever wanted to get a cheap Robot Vacuum cleaner vacuum, now is the time. CNET's top-rated models are available for sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no-go zones. Its running time of 180 minutes is impressive. It also automatically refills and best self cleaning vacuum-empties its water tank.
1. Roomba j7+ from iRobot
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most intelligent robot vacuum to date. Its biggest advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It makes use of AI to detect objects like charging cords and shoes. It's also the first to automatically send you a picture of the object it comes across so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient mop robot we've ever tested, picking up spills and dirt effortlessly while leaving no trace it was there. It's simple to control via the iRobot Home app which lets you schedule cleaning and create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't sweep areas you do not want it to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start and stop it with a voice.
The design is also better than the other models. It has a sleek, top piece that looks like an toy, not the loud and annoying robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System is also self-emptying which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests the j7+ performed quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and even pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place rather than scattering it around the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand that other robots couldn't do. And it did all this without getting tangled up in our pet's hair shedding.
While it's not quite as sophisticated as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Auto-Emptying Vacuum, which isn't able to clean stairs The j7+ is still an excellent choice for those who need mopping and a vacuum in their home. It's not expensive, and the iRobot app makes it very user-friendly.
Although the iRobot Home app is very easy to use however we've found it be less reliable than other applications that work with robotic cleaners. It can take some time to download updates, and it is sometimes difficult to tell whether they're working until you actually see them in action.
2. Roborock Q5+
If you're looking for a robotic vacuum cleaner that does more than just clean your floors, a hybrid is the ideal choice. This category of bots typically comes with a built-in tank for water, meaning they can both vacuum and mop your house simultaneously. These bots also come with a variety of extra features such as smart mapping and small object avoidance and the capability to wash and dry mopping pads. The negative is that they can be expensive when purchased at full retail, but on black friday robot vacuum deals Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our favorite robotic vacuums and the Q5+ does not perform to the standards. It's the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. While it may not include some of the premium features (like no-go areas and multi-story memories), it's still a great choice if you are willing to compromise to save a few bucks.
The Q5+ is noticeable soft around obstacles like table legs and walls which makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is an area that most robot vacuums of lower quality fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.
The Q5+, as with other Roborock products, can be controlled by a few buttons on the device or via the Roborock App. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones and modify your home map, or change the labels of rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ it comes with a new auto-emptying dock that's designed to make the robot easier to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once it's in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It also has an impressive LCD display that is great to have when setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, but it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.
3. Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot mop and vacuum that's astonishingly smart in both its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design and features are some of the top available however it's expensive.
It's a small base station that looks stunning and is able to be concealed when not in use. The station's most appealing factor is its ability to automate many tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It stores clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which most other robovacs require you to do) also emptying the dustbin after vacuuming, and keeps your robot fully charged and clean.
Its vacuuming performance is quite impressive as well. It's one of the only robovacs that I've tried that does a really good job of cleaning up debris from bare floors, and it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot the 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its faults, especially in terms of navigation. Its laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robovacs, which means it is sometimes stuck or confused in certain areas or rooms of the house. It also can't climb stairs as well as other competitors and doesn't come with a docking station to create a cleaning area for carpets with plush padding.
Although it doesn't provide as many in terms of cleaning-related options in its app or as many shortcuts in the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great mop and vacuum cleaner that's worth the price price.
If you're looking to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot vacuum sale, there are other options on the market. Many of the eufy models cost substantially less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for example, is cheaper and offers the same experience in the app, but with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and a better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors and low and high-pile carpets.
4. eufy RoboVac G30
Eufy, an Anker company, has a track record of making robot vacuums that strike the right balance between features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning of carpets and hard floors, as well as a mopping function at an affordable price. It's easy to set up, just attach one of the side brushes and turn it on, then connect the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be located near an outlet with plenty of space to move.
The G30 is a small device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it is able to be tucked away under couches and pieces of low-clearance furniture. Its design isn't as ostentatious when compared to rival models. It is sleek with a black finish and three buttons that are physical for Auto Cleaning start/pause (which scrubs an area in a spiral fashion over two minutes) Recharge, and Spot Cleaner. You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.
The way in which the G30 cleans is what separates it from its rivals. It makes use of a built-in map to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path and then keeps track of what it has already cleaned and what it isn't able to access. It will return to the base to recharge and continues cleaning where it left off.
The elegant G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba is more durable and has lower recurring costs. It charges faster, has similar battery life and performs better on unfinished floors or low-pile carpet. It comes with a larger dust bin, which does not require the same amount of emptying. It also has boundary strips that keep it from certain areas. The G30 on the other hand is less expensive and much simpler to maintain. Its smaller dust canister doesn't require as frequent emptying and is less prone to suffocating bulky material such as cereal.
