Three Wheeled Buggies
Three-wheeled buggies are ideal for walking around the neighborhood or jogging. Their compact design allows them to be maneuvered easily, even in tight spaces.
For an easy ride, opt for a pram that has air-filled tyres and look for models with an swivel wheel that rotates 360 degrees in front. They are, however, susceptible to punctures. Be prepared with an emergency repair kit.
Sturdy frame
New figures show that three-wheeled buggies that were the symbol of the noughties that had more money than common sense, are in steep decline. They've been replaced with four-wheelers which can handle a wider variety of terrain, while also looking swanky and being easy to push.
The bigger the wheels are the better your buggy will cope with bumpy surfaces and uneven pavements. With larger wheels front and back makes it much easier to maneuver and more stable when walking downhill or on rough terrain.
MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with a newborn baby as well as a child who was 3 years old and found it to be very durable. It handled grass, cobbles and rough pavements, as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath said it felt solid to push and extremely solid on rough terrain. Its tyres, which are inflatable and require to be pumped regularly, have built-in suspension. This was extremely comfortable for my children.
The size and shape of the seat is another aspect to think about. You want the seat to be large enough for your child to feel at ease and to lie down. Some three-wheel buggies offer a full lie-flat option while others allow an adult facing one.
The Roma Atlas is a great alternative for off-road or walking in muddy areas. This buggy is suitable for a single child as early as birth, and can be adapted to accommodate two children as your family grows. It is suitable for toddlers and infants from birth to age 4. It comes with a bumper with a rain cover, an upgraded 5-point harness, and a big padded seat. Storage options are also great with a large storage basket with zip pockets on the hood and an extra pouch at the rear of seat unit.
Larger wheels
Larger wheels mean that your buggy will be more stable on rough terrain - perfect for buggies designed for off-road use. Additionally, they make it easier to manoeuvre the pushchair through narrow spaces. Many three wheeled buggies feature swivel front wheels to assist you in maneuvering around tight corners, whereas others are specifically designed for running and have fixed front wheels that lock to improve the speed and stability at which they can be driven. This is particularly useful when you hit a tree or a kerb. The front wheel will lift slightly to keep it from hitting it.
Many 3 wheel pushchairs feature air-filled tyres. This means they can be used on a variety of terrains and are more flexible than four wheelers. They're also lighter. They are also more susceptible to punctures, so you will require an repair kit and spare inner tube in your arsenal.
Mountain Buggy Core, Venicci Carbo and Venicci Carbo lux are some of our favourite 3 wheel stroller with car seat-wheelers. Both of these buggies come with larger wheels that, according to MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on gravel tracks, grass and market town cobbles" and are able to effortlessly move up and down kerbs. They also have a suspension that, according to Kath "smooths out bumps very effectively".
The downside of having larger wheels is that they make buggies quite large and make it difficult to get through narrow spaces. This is a problem especially if you're using it to an exercise bike or to be able to get through doors that are narrow when out and about. Luckily, most models have compact folding options that let you take off the front wheels to create more compact storage.
Easy to Manoeuvre
One of the main benefits of a three-wheel buggy is that it can be much easier to maneuver, especially with a child on the way. They are designed to ensure that the front wheels can turn on a dime, and are easy to navigate, making them ideal for terrains that are difficult, such as parks, cobblestones and bumpy roads. dirt tracks.
MFM reviewer Kath tried a 3 wheeler buggy-wheeler with her toddler. she wrote: "the best 3 wheel stroller Terrain is a delight to navigate on uneven terrain. The swivel wheel in the front was especially useful." I was also impressed by how well it dealt with bumps, particularly when using the brake operated by hand. I found it extremely stable when going downhill or on uneven ground."
The only drawback of this incredible mobility is that the 3 wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it can struggle in tight spaces - something to be aware of especially if you live in a metropolitan area. If this is an issue then a 4-wheel buggy may be a better choice for you.

Additionally, there's an excellent pouch on the back unit, and 2 smaller mesh pockets underneath the hood, where you can keep your phone and keys.
