WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader

Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade boosts the item level by +3. A random extra substat is also increased with each upgrade.

The more modernized gear generally has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or has a high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less useful for the latter because of the requirement to roll a perfect version.

Recycle Points

The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of armor or weapons. The Best item upgrader used to upgrade items the item upgrader kit is discarded and cannot be used again. Upgrades can also be used to create the enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every few weeks, to keep your equipment up to date.

The cost of upgrades will depend on the current level of the gear being upgraded but they will always be cheaper than purchasing new gear from other sources. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs that sell upgrades to items in exchange for a variety of currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using the help of button, which will show an item's preview when it is upgraded in the event that the player has enough materials.

Upgrade costs differ based on the item slot, and the current level of the Item level upgrade (Ezproxy.cityu.edu.hk). For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain level, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.

Many locations have upgraders for their items which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs offer both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrading increases as more items are upgraded. It can be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.

Icewind Dale does not have an Best item upgrader upgrader at beginning unlike Cromwell from Baldur's gate II. Instead, the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades are acquired via several methods which is both an improvement and a drawback.

In Season 3, the upgrade system was altered a bit, with some new features added. Once a player obtains an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less even in the event that they are part of an entirely different set of gear.

The discount is applicable to all accounts. Similarly, the amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also reduced and is not available until players reach certain achievement milestones.

Crests

Players have a variety of options for upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specialized and are used for specific item level upgrades. Crests are the main component of the Dragonflight gear progression system, which was introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.

The first thing to note is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complex upgrade could require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be by engaging in outdoor activities or completing dungeons and raids in all difficulties to get lower-tier gear or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty to obtain endgame gear. These crests are then exchanged with an upgrader for the item like Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and pathways.

The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. For instance, once a piece of equipment reaches the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic), it won't require Flightstones to be upgraded. This allows players to upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible on all of their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

Another important change is that crests have one usage, so it's important to use them properly. For instance, it's a good idea utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests on the top gear you have available and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to create. This is particularly applicable to items like trinkets and rings that take up multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
