World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and add a final perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you take them to the Kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example the perfect roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons aren't changed much after an upgrade and aren't worth it.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can boost their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit probability and PvE/PvP damage. They also have a flat bonus which increases the damage they deal per second. Some weapons also come with a fixed bonus that is activated when three or more identical weapons are used in a group. In certain instances, this bonus can add up to more than the amount of damage a weapon is able to upgrade by itself.
The cost of upgrading a weapon is contingent on its rarity and level. For instance an item upgrades with a rating of +2 will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while a +3 requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade a weapon will continue rise until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which point it will reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons also alter the stats of the base. This is generally a positive factor, but it could also have negative effects. For items that only see use in a certain build (Whistant's shield for FB sorcs for instance), upgrading them may render them useless unless you get a lucky roll.
Armor items can also be upgraded to improve their performance. This can boost the defense base of a helm or chest, while belts and gloves will boost their required strength and agility. Armor also offers the option of rerolling its Enhanced Defense percent, which means that it may roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats that it will gain after upgrading, along with the relative value of those stats. This means that an upgrade from an 8 attack-damage sword to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. The 3% doesn't mean that the weapon will hit 3 times less, as it is an absolute number.
Rerolling a weapon is possible by pressing the green button within the item menu with the arrows that circle. The item will be rerolled and change its statistics, but not reset the weapon's levels or connect it to an account's status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor could make a an enormous difference in your capacity to withstand. Certain sets provide massive increases in poison or curse, fire or magic resistance, which can make traversing tough areas a breeze. In general, the greater defense you can offer your character, the greater health you will receive from each point. So, it's Best item upgrader to upgrade your armor.
You can upgrade your armor by visiting any of the Great Fairy Fountains. There are four of them, and each requires you to complete a specific side-quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the menu for upgrading armor.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of materials and Rupees required to complete each will vary. In general, you'll need at anything from three to five Red Chuchu jellies and 10 Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Lizalfos Horns for each subsequent upgrade. For example, the Champion Leathers can be upgraded to +5 defense, which allows you to keep pace with a decent-sized group of enemies in most cold climates and the Snowquill Headdress can be upgraded to +20 defense, providing you enough protection to withstand the full-on assault with a handful of friends.
You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior, you should focus on upgrading your armor for physical strength or spell power. It's also worth saving your armor upgrades for armor you'll wear at the end of the game, like the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield, or the helmet you'll wear to fight the final boss and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also gain advantages to your armor by presenting the jeweler in Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. Generally speaking, you'll want to keep these upgrades for the weapon you'll use to win the game like the Longsword, Battleaxe or Warhammer, but it can be beneficial to have a few upgrades of the chest armor and helmets to permit you to sneak past some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce an immediate effect for a short period of time. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to increase their effectiveness. Alternatively the effects of certain potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust the potions.
Upgrades to potion require a certain amount of XP. This can be earned by making them on a craft table or by placing them in the Alchemist chest. However, the cost of upgrading changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, as well as on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potions, right-click it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This will open a GUI that lets you choose the potion that you wish to upgrade, and the amount of experience they will give you when upgraded. You can upgrade potions in batches of up to five at a time and their XP will be added to the total XP you currently have.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade until you use it again or break the bottle it is stored in. You can also change the name of the potion by clicking on it in your inventory.
There were some changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. Splash potions for instance, now have a duration zero, not the 22.5 seconds shown on the hover display of the item. The table for potion can now be made using four Wood Planks and two Glass. This allows it to be used by players in Survival and Bedrock. In contrast to the Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions cannot be used in cauldrons. Similarly, using a potion in a cauldron that is full drains the contents and refills the bottle.
In addition, there are simmering potions made with dragon breath and splash potions. Redstone can be added to lingering potions to extend their effect. The potion table is now arranged more like the Java Edition, and new potions were added, such as potion of leaping, decomposition potion, as well as turtle master potions.
Trinkets
A trinket can be an ornamental item that is small, cheap or piece jewelry. It can also refer to a small ornament or object that has a purpose but isn't important as a thimble. In some cultures, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, specifically between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players as well as weapons or armor, as well as potions. Upgrades can be made by paying the appropriate currency to an upgrade vendor. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded, can be traded at will without losing stats.
Upgrade vendors can be found at the capitals of every zone, and sometimes in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of a rare trinket.
The upgrade of a trinket can be a cost-effective alternative to purchasing an entirely new one. It can be done by the player for less than 12 tokens. The new trinket will come with the same base ilvl of the older one, and include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.
Trinkets can be upgraded once they're no longer needed, allowing a player to increase their power and value over time. They can also be traded between players and are an extremely popular alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their most important items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first, followed by their secondary gear, and then other pieces of equipment that will not replace in the near future (such as a ring or an cloak). When choosing which items to upgrade, players must also consider their class's preferred statistics. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats for a tank player, then they should upgrade items their helm, chest and shoulders.
After they've become unusable trinkets are able to be upgraded to a greater level. The new trinket comes with an additional bonus of 1. However, a re-upgrade will destroy the old trinket until it is salvaged with a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an additional salvage tool of higher quality. Upgrades to trinkets are more expensive than other upgrades but still less expensive than buying an entirely new trinket.
