This projector is excellent in grayscale OOTB. The most minimal DeltaE error is 2.3 (which can be not even noticed by experienced eyes). It also showed a lot of subtle color variations for instance, when Adam struck his light-staff into the ground.
Other features include 3D support keystone correction, and automatic focus. These features simplify installation. It also supports the usual BenQ setup options. It does not support the vertical focus or lens shift. It does have the ability to digitally alter images that can be beneficial in less than ideal settings, but it does affect the quality of images.

The GP500 also features several common and some not so common convenience and quality of life features like Keystone and Corner Fit which digitally warp the image to assist with installation issues, the Toslink optical Audio Out Jack that turns off the built-in speaker when headphones are connected or an alternate speaker system is plugged in as well as Bluetooth capability that allows it to act as a wireless receiver for music playback. 3D playback is supported as well.
Subjectively, I found the GP500 to have extremely accurate grayscale OOTB. I measured an DeltaE of just 2.3 which is less than what's visible to the human eye, but quite good. The Dynamic Contrast function really helped to bring the depth to Life of Pi's limited night scenes. The color display was excellent. Avatar was also very impressive.
GP500 Black
The GP500 is Pinlock Max Vision-ready and tear-off-ready and has opening tabs on both sides of the shield. It also has the shield lock to stop it from opening while riding (or in an accident). It has a double-d ring secureer on the back of the helmet and it's free of tools.
The auto-focus feature was extremely quick and it worked well and produced clear, crisp images that had lots of distinct shades. It struggled with the dark scenes in Life of Pi but overall it gave a cinematic feeling.
There aren't any race rep graphics for the GP500 but you can purchase Airoh Sectors, Scrape and Cosmos in plain black. You can also purchase it with Rockstar, Drive and Check graphics for a more focused track appearance.
GP500 White

These features are useful for installations that aren't ideal as they make it simpler to display a flat picture. However, they can affect the image quality. It is important to remember this. The GP500 produced extremely clean and distinct colors and was a fantastic grayscale performer OOTB.
