However, unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we test, the i3+ doesn't have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could get stuck on things like socks or power cords and it can have difficulty in navigating through transitions between surfaces like hardwood to carpet.
iRobot recommends clearing areas where the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, and include getting rid of any toys or clutter it may encounter. Also, keep the dustbin and filters free of dirt to prevent them from becoming clogged. In our tests of the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors and dealt with dog hair (on carpet) quite well, cleaning up 86% of it. It was not as successful in avoiding taller objects like cords or socks.
