The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He evaluates and tests cleaning equipment. His main focus is robot vacuums, and mopping combinations. Multitaskers are a great option for those who want to eliminate mopping from their to-do lists. They are equipped with impressive mapping capabilities and obstacle avoidance, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to choose if you want a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate in tight corners and under furniture. It features a 220 degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it the best navigation and obstacle avoidance I've ever seen in a robotic vacuum. It's powered by a 4600mAh battery that can last for up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking is set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It will even return to the dock to replenish its battery part way through an efficient.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It cleans the carpeted areas extremely quickly, and hardwood floors in the hallways, and living room in a single pass. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to pick up dirt as well as pet hair and poop with ease. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping efficiency, while still impressive, isn't as effective. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high rate and pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly cleaning up dirt and staining. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out slightly more than other robots, which can be helpful for getting into tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to clean larger pieces of debris, such as broken toys or books.

Another great feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the quietest robot cleaner with mop vacuums and mop I've ever used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is simple to install and works well. However, if you are buying this robot vacuum to mop you must pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is equipped with a broad array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device comes with an extremely powerful and impressive cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and locate furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This leads to an effective, consistent cleaning which is also relatively fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad is capable of reaching many surfaces. This includes corners and baseboards as well as other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor near to the walls or other fixtures. The mop pads are also washable and can be dried to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is yet another noteworthy feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction level and select either a back-and-forth or a random pattern. You can also set the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can traverse your home. You can also decide to disable the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.

The device is costly, but has many smart features. It is important to note, however, that the device will incur periodic costs in the form of mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For instance the brushroll should be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter should be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad must be replaced every three to six months.

This robotic vacuum cleaner is a top Amazon rating and includes a wide range of physical automation features. It has an energy button that can also function as a general 'Clean button, as well as a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and drys its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be a good option for busy professionals or anyone who needs to keep their home clean without spending too much time on chores. Its incredibly fast performance, sophisticated navigation, and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean home with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is a 2-in-1 mop and vacuum. It is able to perform vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot hoover and mop is divided into two components that include a dry bin as well as a water tank that can be snapped in and out and a mopping module which includes a microfiber pad. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping might seem a bit outdated but they're a good thing because that you don't need to worry about changing bags for disposables or refilling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its greatest feature was its precise floorplan that it uses to create a route when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers that prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a remarkable job at picking up hair from pets. It was able to capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even found its way into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. It was fairly quiet and had some nice jingles that indicated when it was beginning or finishing its work.

Its biggest drawbacks were its simplistic app and the need to change out the modules when switching between mopping and vacuuming. The app is not able to keep multiple maps. This could be an issue if your house has several floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want a smart robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that can be found in our review, however it also has unique features that make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its huge dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a sink for cleaning, and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically eliminates.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot or run the dock's auto-emptying process. Press two buttons to switch off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents worried about their children messing around with the vacuum.

Like other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. Its True Mapping 2.0 navigation system will map your home 10 times faster than conventional laser detection systems and is four times more precise in recognizing objects.

The X1 can be prone to get stuck if it gets entangled in an obstacle, robot cleaner such as a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you untangle it manually. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it did happen particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with an "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni isn't able to automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two, which isn't an issue except for the fact that the mopping pads haven't been cleaned and dried between use, which can lead to mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant difference from the utilitarian black bases of competitors like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxy models.
