WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades provide a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item level by +3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or has a high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements due to the requirement to roll an exact version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader enables players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed forever and cannot be used again. Upgrades can be applied to enchantments.
The upgrader can be found in all major cities, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader once every couple of weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades can cost more based on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new gear. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest to the level of ilvl385 will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to upgrade weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be used on any weapon, tool or armor. The button will show a preview of an item's next upgrade level if there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading is based on the slot of the item upgrade and the current item upgrade level as well as the level of the weapon, which is more than bracers or gloves, for example. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a certain number of crests. Certain upgrades provide a discount on the Flightstones. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount it is able to be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lower amount of both currencies.
Many locations offer item level upgrade upgraders which include the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide both an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The discount on upgrades increases with the number of items that are being upgraded, and can be increased by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no upgrader for items available at the start of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who are able to facilitate upgrades are only available through a variety means. This is both a benefit and a drawback.
In Season 3, a number of new features were added to the upgrade system. After the player has upgraded to a certain level of item upgrader kit upgrader mod; click through the following website, for an armor slot upgrading other items to the same level, will cost less. This is regardless of whether the items come from another set of gear.
The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced as well, but is only available once certain milestones are achieved.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their gear in WoW. They can use Flightstones, which are a general upgrade currency that is available to everyone players, or crests, which are more specialized and are used to upgrade specific levels of items. Crests are an integral component of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System introduced in version 10.1. They come in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that the crests can only be purchased for gear with a certain rank. Each rank comes with distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and easiest upgrade is 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade can require up to 20 crests, based on the type or gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through tasks at the appropriate level. This could be done by doing outdoor activities, or by doing dungeons or raids in all difficulties to get equipment of lower tier or Mythicbosses of raids or dungeons that have a high difficulty for endgame gear. The crests can later be exchanged at an item upgrader NPC, like Cuzolth in Dornogal or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to obtain the appropriate upgrade paths and steps.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it does bring some changes to the upgrade process. When a piece of equipment attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest possible level on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests wisely, as they only have one use. For instance it's a good idea to make use of all your Whelpling-rank crests with the Best item upgrade equipment available, and then keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next batch of upgrades you're planning to create. This is especially applicable to rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character which can only be eligible to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are full of high-quality equipment.
