Path of Exile Item Upgrading
The most effective way to improve your equipment in Path of Exile is through item upgrades. This allows you to upgrade your gear without having rely on expensive drops or trades. This article will help you understand how to upgrade your gear.
Upgrades in equipment can add an increase to the item upgrader mod's base stats. This bonus is based on the upgrade component level and rarity.
Components
Upgrade components are the things that make your weapons and armor more effective. You can acquire them by destroying enemies, finding them in item spheres or buying them from karma dealers. You can also salvage them from equipment containing the components or through salvage kits of high-end quality, such as Black Lion Salvage Kit and Ascended Salvage Tool. Unlike most other items upgrade components, upgrade components aren't destroyed when they are removed from an item.
Upgrade components are primarily used to upgrade an item, but they can also be used for other purposes. They can be stacked to increase the level of experience gained by upgrading existing weapons or gear. They can be forged for extra bonuses. For instance, a crafted glyph will boost the chances of upgrading its target, whereas a boost upgrade will enhance the defense or attack quality of a weapon or armor.
You can connect an upgrade template to an Item Upgrader Kit by selecting it from the edition GUI. This will show the upgrade components to which the item can be updated. You can also use the workbench to selecting an upgrade template. In either instance the item will be upgraded when enough upgrade components have been collected.
Each component has a distinct experience multiplier, which affects how much more experience an item upgrade will gain when it is upgraded with the component. Organic components, for example have an increased multiplier of experience than mechanical components. It is therefore Best item upgrade to upgrade with organic components until you have reached the experience multiplier of the next rank of weapon or gear, then move to mechanical upgrades.
In addition to the multiplier of experience, each item also has a maximum number of upgrades it can receive. The number of upgradeable items is determined by their upgradeable rank and the type of upgrade they can get. For instance, the most expensive possible upgrade for a weapon is a weapon of tier 10. However, the most popular weapon upgrades are the tier 6 weapon and an armor upgrade of tier 5.
Sets
A set is a collection of objects which all have the same bonus. Each item can be upgraded at the least once. The upgrade increases the bonuses that are guaranteed. The first time you upgrade an item, its primary stat will be +1. On subsequent upgrades, primary stats are boosted even further (for instance +1 for 12+/13+/14+) and every time an item is upgraded, one of its additional stats increases randomly.
Upgrades to a weapon may increase its damage base, which may be necessary for certain builds. Weapons can't be upgraded for greater maximum defence rolls than their base. It's possible to increase the value of certain sets and unique items by upgrading them, but they might not always be better than a Runeword with a high level.
If you're upgrading an item with a bonus it can be rerolled one time, and its guarantee will reset back to 0. The same amount of power die is used to reroll an item, just as it would be to upgrade it. However the new item comes with different bonuses. The NPC [Armor] Boboko can upgrade your armor in Central Flarine. To upgrade an item, you'll need a power die of each type (Dice 4 or 6 drop from monsters 21+ and Giants; Dice 7 drops from bosses) and the appropriate amount of Minerals and Erons. These can be bought with Gold at the crafting table, or in the Ultra Collection. NPCs will also provide special rewards for each stage of the upgrade process. This reward can be rerolled a single time, using the same materials as original item.
Rerolling
If a player has enough rerolling tokens, they can play rerolling any item they've acquired during the game. When an item is rerolled it will be replaced with an equivalent level 1 version from another set. Reroll tokens can be bought at the store for small amounts of in-game currency. However, they aren't refundable. The upgraded item will still have the extra bonuses of the first however, its stats will differ as well.
Players can alter the identification of their equipment, in addition to rerolling it by interacting with an upgrader NPC. This will change the identity from an armor to a weapon or vice versa, all the while maintaining its base stats and attributes that are required. The change is permanent and will affect all characters who are wearing the gear.
Players can also increase the level of an item equipped equipment by obtaining upgrade items and conversing with the upgrader NPC of the item. The cost will vary depending on the upgrade track, the item type, and the number of crests. Each upgrade will add 5% more damage to weapons.
Upgrades can boost the capability of an item, however they can also reduce its quality. It is therefore important to balance the two. Some items may not be worth upgrading at all and some will require to be upgraded to reach their potential. A player may want to upgrade their breakpoint armor using an interesting modification ( percent block chance, or FHR) to discover what it could become.
The primary reason people are able to reroll in Genshin Impact, or in any gacha-based game is because they're trying to get a specific weapon or character that they wouldn't otherwise be able to acquire. The process of obtaining these items can be costly and time-consuming, and the RNG gods aren't always willing to play ball. The only other options are to invest money or grind for a long time. Rerolling is very popular in Genshin Impact.
Leveling
You can decide to upgrade the weapon or armor when you upgrade an item. But, this feature does absolutely nothing in the current game. I think this feature was created to give value to rare and expensive items. However, since the majority of items are replaced quite quickly, and can only be upgraded one level, you will usually replace it before it becomes too old. It's also not worth it to upgrade items that have gem sockets since the value of the gem will far outweigh the increased ilvl that comes with the upgrade.
You will see a small window when you click on the upgrade option for an item. It will display the template for the item, its crest, and the cost of Valorstone to increase the item's level. The cost of upgrades will vary based on weapons and armor as well, with the former typically costing more than the latter. The upgrade template outlines the stats that will be added to the upgraded item. It it also lists the current ilvl.
The cost of the Valorstone and the crest is calculated based on the item's current Ilvl and the upgrade templates. In addition the ilvl of a new upgraded item will be reduced by the template's lvl decrease percentage. For example, an upgrade of 8% can reduce the ilvl of a weapon by 8 to 8percent.
The item will get upgrades to other stats like critical strike damage, PvE damage, and block, parry, and dodge rating in addition to the base level. These upgrades are also based on the upgrade template.
The amount of defense and damage the item is able to receive when it is leveled can be shown below the cost and upgrade decrease percentages in the upgrade template window. In addition to practice equipment, all armor and weapons gain these same stats when leveled up. The value of these stats will be determined by the market, with a perfectly rolled perfect version of a weapon or piece of armor can command significantly more trade value than non-upp'd versions. This is also true for other pieces of armor like tiaras and circlets.
