Baby Jogger City Select Stroller & City Select Car Seat
The City Select 2 Stroller Eco Collection is a versatile stroller that can be converted from a single to double stroller by the addition of a second seat or glider board (sold separately). It can also be converted to create a triple-travel system by adding the bench seat or an infant car seat. It has 24 options and is a top-rated stroller overall. This model is made with Baby Jogger’s soft durable, breathable and sustainably-sourced TENCEL fabrics. They help regulate temperature. It includes a leatherette handlebar, bumper bar, and belly bar. It is 20percent smaller and lighter than the most popular single-to-double stroller, the UPPAbaby V2.
It comes with a sunshade of medium size and a handy magnetic peek-aboo window that is simple to open and close. The telescoping handlebar is one of the easiest to adjust and works for parents of all heights. The seats recline and have an adjustment button for the footwell to allow you to place your child for maximum comfort. The storage bin has plenty of space, but we would have liked a more secure latch. It's easy to access but we discovered the zippers to be a little frustrating since they must be completely undone and refastened to each use.
Like its brothers like its siblings, the City Select has single-action brakes which are easy to set and release using the pull of a lever on the side of the frame, lower than the handlebar. It is suitable for sandals and barefoot and an improvement over the awkward levers for brakes that other competitors use.
This is the only stroller in our review that can accept two infant car seats which makes it a great alternative for twins, or for parents with a single child and a new baby due. It can fit most infant car seats made by major brands by using an adapter. We tested it with the Britax/BOB Chicco KeyFit 30, Graco Click Connect models Cybex Aton and Aton Q and Nuna Pipa.
The City Select is incompatible with the UPPAbaby Vista V2. It's a good option for families with a car seat and want a stroller to accommodate it however, you might prefer a convertible stroller that can accommodate an additional infant car seat in this instance.
