WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades can give you boosts in specific stats. Each upgrade item increases the item level by +3. A random substat is also added to every upgrade.
The more modernized gear generally has a more value in trade, unless it has inherently low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less valuable for the latter due to the need to roll the perfect version.
Recycle Points
The upgrader for items allows players to upgrade their gear to a higher level by supplying the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
You can upgrade your equipment at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader every couple of weeks to ensure that your equipment is up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more depending on the level of the item however they'll always be cheaper than buying new equipment. Upgrades like upgrading a Benthic chest to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. A similar item will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are useful items that are used to level up weapons and tools, armor and accessories. They can be purchased through NPCs who sell upgrades to item level Upgrade owners for various currencies. They can also find them in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. The button will display a preview of an item's next upgrade level when there are enough materials.
Upgrade costs vary depending on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers, or bracers. Each step costs 15 Flightstones plus a set number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Many locations offer item upgrade upgraders in addition to the main island and a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to obtain a new upgrade items recipe. The upgrade discount increases as more items are upgraded. It can also be increased by having players complete certain achievements or complete quests.
In contrast to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through a variety of means that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was tweaked a bit, with several new features added. After an upgrade has been completed to a specific level for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same item level will cost less. This is even if those items come from an entirely different set of equipment.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players reach certain milestones in their achievement.
Crests
When it comes to upgrading equipment in WoW players have a few options. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific and are utilized during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an important part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System that was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to remember is that crests are only available for gear that is of a particular rank. Each rank has distinct upgrade paths. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the most complex can require as much as 20 crests, based on the kind of gear being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by working through content that is of the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of all difficulties for higher-tier items or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and paths.
The new currency system isn't complicated to use, however it will bring some modifications to the upgrade process. Once a piece of gear reaches the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it no longer requires Flightstones. This change lets players upgrade their equipment to the highest level possible for all their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. It's Best item upgrader to use your Whelpling-rank crests on the top-quality equipment that you can find, and save Drake and Wyrm Crests for the next round of upgrades. This is especially true for items like rings and trinkets that fill multiple slots on the character, that will be able to avail the account-wide discount if all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
