WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades will give you a boosts in certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item level upgrade, www.google.co.ck, by 3. Each upgrade also boosts a random substat.
The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB shield of the sorc) or very high stat variance (like Eth titan weapons). Upgrades are less important for those with lower requirements due to the need to roll a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader lets players upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any type of weapon or armor. The item used to upgrade item the item will be consumed and can't be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.
You can upgrade your gear anytime by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended to visit the upgrader every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.
Upgrades will cost more, based on the level of the item, however, they are always less expensive than purchasing new equipment. Upgrades such as upgrading a Benthic chest up to 385 ilvl will cost you 20 recycle points. If you purchase a similar item, it will cost you 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to purchase weapon, armor, tool and accessory upgrades. They are purchased by players from item upgrader NPCs in exchange for various currencies, and may also be found in random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade can be applied to any weapon, tool, or armor. The button will display the preview of an item's next upgrade level, if there are enough materials.
The cost of upgrading varies based on the slot of the item and the current item level. For instance weapons are more expensive than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade cost 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades offer discounts on Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain degree, it can be degraded and returned to the upgrader for a lower amount of the two currencies.
Item upgraders can be found in a variety of locations including the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount and a chance to obtain a new upgrade recipe. The upgrade discount increases according to the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by requiring players to complete specific achievements or quests.
Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II, there is no item upgrades upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. The NPCs who can facilitate upgrades are only accessible through a variety means. This is both a positive and an issue.
In Season 3, a number of new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has earned an upgrade to a specific item level for a particular armor slot, upgrading further items to that same item level will be less expensive, even if they belong to another set of gear.
The amount of Valorstones required to upgrade is reduced and the discount is available across all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed to upgrade is reduced also, but is only available after certain milestones have been reached.
Crests
Players have a variety of choices when it comes to upgrading their equipment in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to all players for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an integral part of the Dragonflight Gear Progression System, which was introduced in version 10.1. They are available in four ranks.
The first thing to note is that crests are only able to be used to purchase equipment of a particular rank, and that each rank has different requirements for upgrading. The simplest and most straightforward upgrade route costs 15 crests while the more complex one may require as many as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment that is being upgraded.
Players can earn crests by finishing content at the appropriate level, which means walking around and doing outdoor activities for gear of lower tiers, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for endgame gear. Crests can be exchanged at an upgrader NPC, such as Cuzolth in Dornogal, or Vaskarn in Valdrakken, for the appropriate upgrade routes and steps.
The use of these currencies isn't that difficult, but the system will introduce a few modifications to the upgrade process. When a piece attains the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer) it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change allows players to upgrade their gear to the highest possible ilvl on all of their characters, instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's best to use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the top equipment you have and keep Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan on making. This is especially true for items such as trinkets and rings that take up several slots. The discount for the entire account is only applicable when all the slots on the character are filled with top-quality gear.
