Path of Exile item upgrader Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of damage or more AD or even more attachments.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to modernized Common or Magic equipment because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be applied to armor and weapon items. They increase the effectiveness of the item level upgrade they are attached to. Upgrades to armor are available in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Additionally, they can be salvaged from items with upgrade components within them by using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The level of an armor's or weapon's upgrade determines the amount of damage it is able to absorb. The absorption of damage by an armor piece will increase when it's upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. It's important to remember that this will increase the weight of the armor, which means it should be heavier.

There are several kinds of armor upgrades that are that are available in the game and each one has distinct effects. Some upgrades give armor an extra number of health points, while others make it stronger and lighter. The name of the armor upgrade will tell you the kind of upgrade that an item will be given, as illustrated below.

A few upgrades also feature magical or a combination of technology and magic which is shown by a "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Certain upgrades require charges in order to be used. These are identified as "Charges" entries in the table. These charges are either constantly updated or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest method to upgrade your armor. You can find it by exploring and looting small loot chests. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available from the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, such as the Reforge and the Hot Potato Books, can only be applied to higher level armor pieces. These upgrades can provide significant improvement in stats and are a worthwhile investment, especially for 1-handed weapons.

The player should be aware, however, that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level will increase its defense value. However, it can also decrease the speed and agility of the piece. For this reason, it is typically not recommended to upgrade most armor pieces above +9, since the added defense is usually not worth the extra weight and power costs of the improvements required.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players the ability to improve certain aspects of their weapon. Upgrades can improve the accuracy of a rifle or the damage caused by shotgun shells. Some weapons also have special upgrades that enhance their inherent capabilities. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity to cause more damage) are two examples.

The majority of upgrades for weapons require a whetblade, one of three Power Dices and a different amount Minerals and Erons. They can be obtained by completing side quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.

To upgrade an equipment set, weapon piece, or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [ArmorBoboko. Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade items fee of a certain amount of Bars. The more bars needed to complete an upgrade the higher the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5 the way you upgrade your weapon and sets has changed a bit. In the past you could go to an Upgrade Bench and pay a set number of Bars to upgrade your equipment or weapon to a higher rarity. You could continue to do this until you reach a maximum upgrade level for the equipment or weapon, after which upgrades would reset.

You can still do this however, the process is high on RNG and low on agency. Instead, you're much better off going to stores and purchasing equipment that has low upgrade levels but excellent base scores and stat distributions. They will also have a chance at gaining you the best tier of bonuses and blessings.

To level up faster, most players will prioritize upgrading their weapons. Players should also upgrade the weapons that their squadmates utilize to increase their power. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to make it more useful when paired with experts in biotics like Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels can be used to increase the stats of a character or to provide additional effects in weapons and armor. They can be created through the process of jewelry crafting, in which you combine a gemstone and a number of specific chemicals at a table. The higher the level of the jewel is, the greater its secondary effect. These reagents can be gotten from Treasure Goblins and World Bosses in the world, or by collecting Legendary Gear. You can also buy them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The Jeweler can improve the quality of gemstones in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. The boosts to stats will differ depending on the level the jewel is at when it is inserted into jewelry, weapons or equipment.

All tiers of jewels can be crafted at the Jeweler and Jeweler's Workshop, with the exception of the rare and legendary jewels that require you to be at a sufficient level to be able to get these. Like other upgrade components jewels are able to be swapped with a jewel of the same type without damaging it. You can only replace the gem only once in a piece of equipment.

It is common to use more gems for aesthetic reasons. Apart from improving performance, the jewels also create a surface that is harder than metal, which means that repeated friction from pivots doesn't damage them as easily.

A Glyphmaster can provide glyphs to enhance the look of your weapons and shields. These glyphs offer a small boost in power and can be exchanged, however they're not guaranteed to show up as loot. Glyphs, just like jewelry, can be upgraded at the Jeweler to exchange Scattered Crystals and gold. Glyphs can also be removed and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, like traits and aegis, are not swappable, and can only be retrieved using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets can be used to provide your hero with many small, but beneficial, advantages. They are available in the starter area as rewards for personal stories or loot. They are also available from vendors and by the completion of road interactions. They can also be made by jewelers, and then found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinket that a player will unlock is the cloak. It gives a small but valuable boost in speed of movement and the ability to escape. The player will then be able to acquire rings, amulets and necklaces in a similar fashion similar to how they obtained weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment has one upgrade slot that can accommodate either a universal or a jewel upgrade. Universal upgrades offer smaller bonuses and can be placed in any kind of equipment however, jewelry cannot be replaced or upgraded, and only works with certain kinds of trinkets.

These trinkets can provide additional bonuses and abilities that are active when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This lets a hero be more efficient while inactive. It can also make up for the lack of a excellent team or talent tree slots which would normally be filled by a hero's top stats.

In general trinket upgrades should be prioritized over BiS (Best in Slot) items that you will not replace soon. Next, any items with desirable stats that aren't as important as the iLevel for the item upgrader kit to be upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, since it's generally better to upgrade just one important stat rather than two sub-optimal ones.

Jungle players will often upgrade their yellow trinket to a red one at the beginning of the game. Mid and top players however they will select a pink or green ward, based on the matchup. These choices will have a major impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items listed above, players can also find other trinkets in the form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. These can be earned by completing certain milestones in the story, like completing a chapter's main quest or killing a particular boss. You can view them by clicking on the achievement in the reward section of the hero's menu.
