best robot vacuum and mop (over here) Combos
Robot vacuums and mop are becoming more capable. They pass our tests on cleaning and can take care of various floors. Choose models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, including self-emptying and clean stairs.
A lot of the top models work with smartphones. Look for an app that lets you save maps, schedules and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is among the most impressive robot vacuums and mop combos available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, and create maps of floors and rooms (even multiple levels) and is compatible with the free Eufy Clean app that lets you set schedules and customize the S1's behavior.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which has linoleum in the dining area, kitchen and bathrooms, as well as large rugs and a medium-pile. It was able to drive close to walls and even cross thresholds that are raised without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one step. The S1 performed well in cleaning hard floors. Its mop drove smoothly on its flat side and swung up when it reached carpets or rug.
Prior to each mopping session the docking station of the S1 automatically emptys its trash bin and fills up its water tank with filtered, clean water ozonated. The dock also includes a cleaning solution in the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1 water tank can hold enough for 12 mopping sessions, however this will differ depending on the frequency you use the mop.
Like all 2-in-1 robots, the S1 requires regular maintenance to ensure it is operating efficiently. In order to do this, you'll have to wash the dirty water tank regularly to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean your swivel wheel and sensors regularly to prevent them from getting clogged up with dust or dirt. However, overall the S1 is simple to maintain, especially when compared to other combinations that require more hands-on maintenance.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
This all-in-one robotic vacuum and mop combo from Ecovacs is a reliable option for cleaning needs. The Ecovacs robot vacuum has 8700Pa of suction and comes with many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstacles and cleans around furniture. The mopping feature is remarkable, with mops rotating that actually lift and scrub the floor, rather than simply dragging the pad across it. The mops are cleaned and dried in the base station as required.
This robot combo has an easy interface that guides you through the process. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those areas that the robot isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and filled when required. It also has a range of useful settings for fine-tuning your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete does a good job at vacuuming, with a strong suction that effortlessly picks up all kinds of debris, including the smaller pieces of dust that other robots struggle with. Its navigation capabilities are quite good, though it can get stuck on small mats and rugs around my home (which you can reduce by creating virtual boundaries within the app). Its mopping capabilities are also quite good and include a pair of mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops can be cleaned with hot water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also refilled at the top of the station if needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame launched the luxurious X30 Ultra earlier this year and Robot vacuum Best their new flagship robot vacuum and mop has even more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our top list of mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping capabilities, RGB AI smart detection and a larger side brush ensure an efficient, custom-designed clean is achieved.
The X40 Ultra does an excellent job of vacuuming and removing large and small particles from hard floors as well as carpets. It also cleaned our test's most filthy areas well, and keeping pet hairs from getting caught in knots and other dirt. The sweeping performance is augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, and an extendable mop pad that deploys alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is smart that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without stepping back. It can go from one room to another without needing to reverse the direction. This is beneficial for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance system is not as advanced than some competitors however, and tends to leave a thick margin over obstacles, which can result in missed spots.
The app's interface is intuitive and streamlined. It should be easy to use for both novices and experienced users. The app lets you plan and manage cleanings, adjust the suction power and mopping settings, view 2D and 3D maps, and much more. It is accessible via the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from any location. You can even tap into the X40 Ultra's camera remotely to get live video surveillance. You'll require a reliable internet connection to access the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 Pro
A robot vacuum does an excellent job of removing dirt and debris however, it's not able to be able to reach every bit of dust. It's important to vacuum often, at least once a week. This is especially important for dust that accumulates in corners, on shelves and in crevices in your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro, a 2-in-1 robot that vacuums and mops, is designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect it to your home Wi-Fi network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your daily cleaning routine.
The Q5 is a stripped down version of the more expensive S-series models from the company, such as the flagship Roborock S8 maxV ultra. It uses a similar LIDAR mapping sensor, but saves on cost by removing the mopping functionality and by using a less expensive plastic body.
Even though it's not able to mop floors, the Q5 still has some of the most impressive mopping and vacuum performance we've seen on a robot in this price range. It features a powerful suction of 5500Pa and an auto-empty system, which means you don't need to empty the bin manually every time. It has a smart app which allows you to schedule cleaning and set the floor type. It also features an automatic vacuum cleaner water tank filling and washing system to allow hands-free operation.
The mops are also quite impressive with 2700Pa of power to take on dirt, dust and pet hair on carpets and hard floors. The Q5 is one of the few robots we test that didn't have problems with carpets with high piles or area rugs, but it couldn't pick up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is one of the most quiet robovacs that we've tested. It also utilizes a unique system to map your home this will allow it to enter places that other vacuums can't reach. The device also stores dust in a bigger dustbin that means you have empty it less frequently. It also has washable filters, which further reduces costs. The robot can recognize carpets and increase suction if necessary. You can also mark areas you want to keep out of the app.
