Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combos
Robot vacuums and mops have become more efficient, passing our tests of cleaning and tackling various floor types. Select models that allow you to choose between multiple modes, self-empty and clean stairs.
Many of the top models work with your smartphone. Look for an application that lets you save schedules, maps and select cleaning modes.
1. Eufy Omni S1 Pro
The gunmetal and gloss black Omni S1 Pro from Eufy is one of most impressive robot vacuums and mop combinations available. It makes use of lidar to navigate, create maps of rooms and floors (even multiple levels), and works with the free Eufy Clean application that lets you set schedules and alter the S1's behaviour.
The S1 was capable of mapping my downstairs quickly, which comprises flooring in the kitchen, dining room and bathrooms, as well as medium-pile and a large rug. It was able to drive close to walls and even over raised thresholds without issue. However it was a bit difficult getting down the stairs in one pass. The S1 also did an excellent job of cleaning hard floors, with its mop driving smoothly on the flat side against the floor and then lifting its own weight when it reaches carpet or rug.
After every mopping session, the docking station on the S1 automatically empties its dustbin and fills up its water tank onboard with clean ozonated filtered water. The dock also adds a cleaning solution into the water to ensure deep cleaning. The S1's water tank holds enough for about a dozen cleaning sessions before it has to be emptied, though this will vary depending the amount you use the mop.
The S1 requires regular maintenance, just like any other 2-in-1 robots. To do this, you'll need to rinse out the dirty water tank occasionally to prevent it from clogging. It is also necessary to clean the swivel wheels and sensors frequently to avoid them from becoming clogged with dust or dirt. Overall the S1 requires less maintenance than other combos.
2. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Combo Complete
Ecovacs all-in-one robot vacuum and mop is an efficient solution for cleaning. The robot vacuum cleaners best vacuum is rated at 8,700Pa of suction and offers many unique features, including full home mapping, voice control and smart path-planning that eliminates obstructions and cleans furniture. Its mopping capability is impressive, with rotating mops that actually lift and scrub the floor, as opposed to just drag the pad across it. Mops can also be dried and cleaned at the base station when needed.
This robot combo is easy to set up and use, and has a clear interface that walks you through the procedure. It comes with an electric hand vacuum that can be recharged for those areas that the robot vacuums with mop isn't able to reach and two water tanks that are automatically emptied and replenished as required. It has a variety of settings that can be used to fine-tune your cleaning preferences.
The Deebot X2 Combo Complete is a good vacuum cleaner. It has a strong suction that can easily remove dirt and other debris that other robots have difficulty with. Its navigation capabilities are robust, however it is sometimes hung up on the small area mats or rugs that I have in my home (which is something you can mitigate by creating a virtual boundary within the application). Mopping capabilities are very good, with a pair spinning mops which lift and scrub the floor instead of drag the pad across it. The mops are also cleaned with heated water and dried in the base station as needed. The mops are also filled from the top of the base station as needed.
3. Dreame X40 ultra
Dreame released the luxe X30 Ultra earlier this year, but their new flagship model of robot mop and vacuum has more impressive features. It delivers outstanding cleaning results, and it is easy to maintain. This makes it a worthy contender for our list of the best automatic vacuum cleaner mops and robot vacuums. Its superior mapping abilities, RGB AI smart detection, and an expanded side brush will ensure an effective, customized cleaning is achieved.
The X40 Ultra vacuums well, it can remove both large and fine debris. It is a great choice on carpets and hard floors. It was able to clean the dirtiest areas of our tests well while avoiding pet hairs and other messes. The sweeping capabilities are augmented by an additional side brush that automatically swings out to tackle hard-to-reach corners, as well as an extended mop pad that can be placed alongside baseboards.
Its navigation is intelligent that can navigate narrow spaces and negotiating stairways without missing a step. It is able to move from one room to the next without needing to reverse the direction. This is useful for large homes with multiple rooms. Its obstacle avoidance technology isn't as advanced than its competitors however, and tends to leave a wide margin around obstacles, which could result in missed spots.
The interface of the app is simple and easy to use. It should be simple to use by both novice and experienced users. The app lets you schedule and manage cleanings, change suction power and mopping settings as well as view 3D and 2D maps, and much more. It can be controlled through the app, Alexa, Google Assistant or Siri and allows you to monitor its progress from anywhere. You can also use the X40 Ultra's camera remotely, for real-time video supervision. You will require a stable WiFi connection to run the app and external controls.
4. Roomba Q5 pro
Robot vacuums are fantastic at removing dirt and debris but they can't reach every speck of dust. That's why it's important to make use of your regular vacuum once a week, especially to clean dust from corners, on shelves and in the crevices of your couch. Roborock's Q5 Pro is a 2-in-1 vacuum and mop designed to do exactly that. It's easy to connect to your Wi-Fi at home network and is compatible with Alexa and Apple Siri, making it an even more convenient addition to your cleaning routine.
The Q5 is an unadorned version of the company's expensive S-series models, which include the flagship Roborock S8 MaxV Ultra. It is equipped with the same LIDAR mapping sensors, however it is cheaper because it doesn't come with mopping capabilities and has a plastic body.
The Q5 is still one of the most powerful mopping and vacuums we've seen at this price even though it's not able to wipe your floor. It has a suction power of 5500Pa, and an automatic empty system that means you don't have to empty the bin by hand each time. It also has a clever app that lets you select your floor type and schedule cleanings. It also has an automatic refill of the water tank and wash system to allow hands-free operation.
Its mops are also awe-inspiring, with 2700Pa of power to take on dust, dirt and pet hair on hard floors and carpets. The Q5 is among the few robots we tested that didn't have any problems with carpets with high piles or area carpets, but it didn't clean up kitty litter or cable tangles, which is no surprise considering it doesn't include AI-powered obstacle avoidance.
5. K10 Plus
K10 Plus is the quietest robotic vacuum we've ever tested. It also has a unique mapping system that helps it reach tight spaces and corners that other vacuums can't. The device also stores dust in a larger bin which means you need to empty it less often. Furthermore, it comes with washable filters which further reduces the cost of using the device. The robot can also recognize carpets and boost the suction when needed. You can also mark areas you would like to be able to keep from using the app.
