World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrading of your equipment is a vital aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades boost damage to items and enhancements.
They also offer bonuses and enhancements. They can be acquired by contacting the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item upgrader by pressing the upgrade items button on it. Each recycled item adds a level to the gauge for upgrading.
Weapons
When the weapon is upgraded it is granted an initial damage bonus and a scaling factor that can affect other stats. The weapon could also be upgraded with a number of upgrade components that provide additional features or effects, and some have distinct cosmetic effects. These upgrades can be inserted into armor, weapons trinkets, or gathering tools, and they generally require that the equipment has an upgrade slot available and meet certain requirements. When a weapon or armor piece is equipped with an upgrade component it, it can be upgraded, but the prior upgrade will be destroyed (except for legendary equipment and upgrades). upgrade item components can be found using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or an Ascended Salvage Tool, or by using a high-tier salvage tool on the item the Best item upgrade.
In addition to the standard upgrades, a weapon can be upgraded with the Calibration Attribute which improves certain stats such as Weakspot Damage or Crit Rate. This is accomplished through the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. This can be repeated four times, based on weapon level.
When the weapon reaches its maximum level of improvement and is then modified to give different effects and bonuses or to boost specific stats. These upgrades can be used simultaneously, and their effects will vary depending on how rare the weapon is.
There are two Blacksmiths in the game who can perform these upgrades: Blacksmith Hewg in the Church of Elleh hub area as well as Smithing Master Iji in the Road to the Manor Site of Grace. The upgrade materials are both different: Smithing Stones to modify the damage a weapon deals and Somber Smithing Stones to modify standard weapons.
It is generally advised to improve weapon damage first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats as required by your build. In particular, it's common to see melee druids upgrade their weapon prior to any other gear, since this can increase DPS. This is particularly applicable to enchantments that increase a weapon's stats as well as damage.
Armor
Item Upgrades let players enhance the base stats of certain armor pieces weapons, trinkets, trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades can also bring additional effects, like additional damage or an enhancement to the appearance of. Item upgrades are available through crafting, purchasing from NPC vendors, loot drop or as rewards for quests.
Armor can be upgraded by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. In most cases an item of armor will be upgraded to next tier once an upgrade is applied. This is possible for all types of armor, but certain types of armor cannot be upgraded in any way (such as the starter armor in Great Sky Island).
Most armor upgrades increase the strength or defense of an item by only a tiny amount. Some upgrade components, however, can lead to significant increases in defense or strength. This is particularly relevant when upgrading epic items.
Certain upgrades offer special abilities that can be activated while wearing armor. These abilities can be beneficial in combat, such as granting a buff to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades also offer passive effects, such as cutting down on the amount of damage that is taken while wearing armor or granting the chance to avoid attacks.
Based on the type of armor being used, upgrading an item can require multiple tries. For instance, if a player wanted to upgrade an existing Steelclash armor to Dragonscale, the first attempt would result in a new piece of Dragonscale with an initial defense range of 59-67. The second attempt would result in an Dragonscale armor that has an initial defense range of between 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild allows players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To upgrade their armor players must visit the four Great Fairy Fountains that are located in the game. Each of these locations holds the power of a fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to what many believe it isn't a necessity in The Division 2. Certain armors provide a significant boost to the reduction of damage from poison, curse, magic, or fire. This makes them very useful for certain builds. There are other ways to boost armor stats beyond the use of upgradeable armor, such as the engineer trait to increase armor penetration or the challenger trait that reduces total weight.
Potion
A potion can be upgraded by putting it in the brewing stand to unlock new effects. The upgrade unlocks a new tier of potion effects, and is able to be repeated to unlock more potencies.
The potions also gain the ability to select a custom color that can be selected by the player via /give. The color will affect the area-of-effect clouds as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color code of the potion is also applied to the potions' particle effects.
The water bottle, common and thick potions and awkward potions now have a new brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory potion healing and weakness are now available.
