WoW Upgrades - The item upgrader mod Upgrader

Upgrades will give you a boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases item Level upgrade level by +3. Each upgrade also increases a random substat.

The upgraded gear typically has a higher trade value as long as it meets low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like eth titan weapons). Upgrades aren't as useful for those with lower requirements because of the requirement to roll the perfect version.

Recycle Points

The item upgrader allows players to upgrade gear to a higher item level by providing the appropriate currency to the NPC. Upgrades can be made on any kind of armor or weapons. However, the item used to upgrade will be consumed for the duration of time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be applied to Enchantments.

You can upgrade your gear at any time by visiting the upgrader in any major city. It is recommended that you visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks to keep your equipment up-to-date.

Upgrades will cost more depending on the item level, however, they are always cheaper than buying new equipment. For example upgrading a Benthic chest piece to 385 levels will cost 20 recycle points purchasing a similar piece from another player will costs 105.

Valorstones

Upgrades are items that can be used for tools, armor, weapon and accessory upgrades. They can be purchased by players from NPCs of item upgraders for various currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once purchased, an upgrade is able to be used on any tool, weapon or armor. button, which will display a preview of the item at its next upgrade level when the player has enough materials.

The upgrade cost depends on the slot of the item upgrade and current item level, with weapons costing more than gloves or bracers, for instance. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones plus a specific number of crests. Some upgrades give a discount on the Flightstones. After an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be degraded and sold back to the upgrader for a lesser amount of both currencies.

Upgraders for items are available in many places on the main island as well as some outposts. The NPCs offer an upgrade coupon as well as the chance to obtain a new recipe. The upgrade discount increases depending on the amount of items that are being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or quests.

Contrary to Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II there is no item upgrader available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that can be used to upgrade must be acquired through several methods which is both an improvement as well as a disadvantage.

In Season 3, many new features have been added to the upgrade system. After a player has upgraded to a certain level of item for an armor slot, upgrading other items to the same level will cost less. This applies regardless of whether the items come from a different set of equipment.

The discount is available to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests required for upgrades is also cut and is not available until players have reached certain milestones in their achievements.

Crests

Players have several options for upgrading their gear in WoW. Flightstones are a currency that is available to everyone for upgrading. Crests are more specific, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1 and are available in four ranks.

The first thing to remember is that crests can only be spent on gear of a specific rank, and that each rank has its own requirements for its upgrade path. The most basic and straightforward upgrade process costs just 15 crests while the more complex one can require as much as 20 crests, based on the type of equipment being upgraded.

Players can earn crests through finishing content at the appropriate level, which involves walking around and performing outdoor activities for lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons of any difficulty for higher-tier items, or Mythic+ heroic raid bosses and dungeons for gear that is used in the endgame. The crests can then be exchanged with an upgrader for the item such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn, in Valdrakken for the appropriate upgrade steps and routes.

Utilizing these new currencies isn't too complicated however, the system introduces some changes to the overall upgrade process. When a piece has reached the highest level of upgrade for any rank (Explorer or Adventurer), it is no longer required to purchase Flightstones. This change is designed to allow players to get their equipment up to the highest level possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.

It's also crucial to choose crests in a wise manner, as they have only one purpose. For instance, it's a good idea use all of your Whelpling-rank crests on the Best item upgrader equipment you have and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you plan to create. This is particularly relevant for items like trinkets and rings that fill multiple slots. The account-wide discount is only applicable when all slots on the character are filled with high-quality equipment.
